Basically I've narrowed it down to the RRA LAR-8 standard length (20" barrel) and the DPMS LR308 (24" stainless bull barrel). The armalite is out because I don't really like the look. My main question is... does DPMS have any sort of MOA guarantee? I know that the LAR-8's from RRA say that...

I'm using 20 rd mags. I've got sandbags on a wooden box so the mag isn't even close to touching. I'm gonna call bushmaster tomorrow and see what they think.

well I shoot 1" groups with my garand at 100 yds on a regular basis. I've shot a lot of guns, just no AR-15's.

So how can I tell if the barrel nut is loose? What I think is the barrel nut, or at least it's cover, can definitely rotate a very small amount back and forth. Is that considered "loose." I'm very new to AR-15's so pardon my ignorance. :)
