one of these sorta fits your OP:
https://fnamerica.com/products/pistols/fnx-45-tactical/

It does have a polymer frame, though...

The 5.3″ cold hammer-forged, stainless steel barrel has a threaded muzzle to accept sound suppressors, compensators and other accessories. The stainless steel slide has high-profile combat night sights and includes two mounting bases to accept multiple styles of optional red-dot electronic sights.

I’m a fan of FN. mines a plain ol’ FNP, but it’s sooo easy to shoot well.

I’d for sure go with a 45 over a 9, just because of indoor decibels

1. 4-5 inch barrel.
2. Rail for tac light
3. Slide milled for RMR or other reflex sight.
4. Prefer a solid single action trigger. I'm a 1911 guy, but am open to other options.
5. Prefer steel frame. Can be swayed.
6. 45ACP or 9mm. Prefer 45 but can be swayed.
7. Black/dark gray finish.
Sounds to me like specs for the SIG P-226 Legion SAO RX ... or the 220 version.

I went looking around on this fine Thursday morning and handled quite a few different guns. I fell in love with one that met most of my requirements.

1. 4-5 inch barrel. Check
2. Rail for tac light Check
3. Slide milled for RMR or other reflex sight. Check
4. Prefer a solid single action trigger. I'm a 1911 guy, but am open to other options. Not a 1911, but excellent trigger
5. Prefer steel frame. Can be swayed. Tungsten infused polymer
6. 45ACP or 9mm. Prefer 45 but can be swayed. 9mm
7. Black/dark gray finish. Check

Sig P320 XFIVE LEGION

I paid a pretty fair price for it at $879 at my local shop. I have ordered a Leopuld Deltapoint PRO for it and purchased a light. Will update the thread as I add the fun stuff then test it out.

Well, we are getting there. Going to be taking it to the range and sighting it in this week. Interesting optic installation procedure. To access one of the two rear sight plate screws the back plate has to come off and the extractor spring and plunger have to be removed. Can't wait to try it out, it is such a departure from the rest of my collection.

Dry fire with one of the laser target deals like iTarget or similar really helps before you start burning powder.

At least that's what it took for me to "get" the red dot.

What happened to your rear sight? In my opinion, you're almost there, but not quite. You need suppressor height sights that co-witness with your red dot and you need a better quality light. Those two things will complete the build.

Here is mine that I finished up a few weeks ago:

Since SRSTAdam21 has his new very cool new gun I won’t feel bad about hijacking.

Do you shave the beard and towel off behind your ears once you load your mag, try to Jack a round in and the slide jams?

I have neither beard nor Skull tattoo as previously alluded too. Although that pistol dont care which direction it feeds from.. :what:

As pointed out anytime I take a picture of a pistol with its mag out.. I do a homage to HK, (its basically a long standing advertising joke.)

A lot of the the same ol’ same ol’ Boring stuff in this thread.
Come on guys, let’s think outside the box a little, okay.

What can I come up with......

The forever powerful .45 acp = check
Full-Semi auto = check
SuperTac auto sighting = check
Tactical Breakable Trigger = check
Rifled barrel for more precision than an civil war sniper rifle = check
Vented trigger for superior cooling = check
Rail for tacticalness = check
Light color for ease of finding in the dark = check
Capacity for up to 10 attackers (more if you’re super tacticool) = check

Forget beards, and tattoos. This will turn you into an instant mall ninja, Gecko45 ain’t bout $&@£!
