Lotsa places...
I've been considering it for a while and I've committed to a collection of PCCs in 9mm.

I don't have a serious need for any more "guns of purpose" so I figured now is a good time to start. I'm still young so I figure I can flesh out a good sampling before too long.

I would like to have a representative of every type for the sake of fun and variety. I've been into guns long enough to have a rough idea of what's out there so I want to know if I'm missing anything.

Feel free to show me yours.:D

In order of proposed acquisition:
-CX4 Storm
-Uzi Folder
-Kel-tec Sub 9
-Marlin 357/38 (close enough to 9mm for me:neener:)
-AR in 9mm
-Sterling 9mm semi auto clone
-HK clone / actual HK
-Hi point

BTW, Where I am now = no Class III.

Two more to add to your list;

Marlin Camp Carbine in 9mm, (comes in .45ACP too).
KelTec Sub 2000. 9 or .40

I don't own either so sorry, no pics.

Here's my Storm... a wonderful carbine, I highly recommend it having owned many 9mm carbines.

My 9mm is on the left. All RRA, but purchased in pieces. Planning on ditching the RRA mag block in favor of a Hahn dedicated.

It no longer has the A1 BUIS, EOTech, or surefire G3, it only has a CNCGuns A1 carry handle. The rest was put on my CMMG dissy style 5.56 upper that is now on top of the lower in the pic.

Got an AR45 in the works as well.

I have the hi-point 995 with the ATI Technologies stock. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite guns to plink with. Life time warranty is always good.

The ruger PC9 is almost perfect for what I'm looking for.. The only problem is the barrel length at 16.25" :(

I'm looking for a 9mm rifle, preferably semi auto with an 18.5" barrel... Legal reasons if you need to ask..

I have always contemplated a 9mm AR however with a 6.5" barrel for range use only.

Here are my 9mm carbines (Marlin, Highpoint, KelTec), 1894 leverguns (44 and 357) and my camp carbines (45 and 9mm). I love them all.

Bill

Here's my Hi-Point. It's a blast to shoot.

523527.jpg

Specs:

1. Standard, black 995 - Traded for it

2. ATI stock (HERE) - $50

3. Reworked butt sleeve to hold two magazines (HERE) - $6

4. Bought a 12" piece of picatinny rail from eBay and cut \ drilled it to fit the receiver cover - $15

5. Filed down a spot on the rail and drilled and tapped two holes to mount a Williams peep sight (HERE) - $35

6. Fixed the two-piece front sight so I could lower it enough to use the peep sight - Free

7. Bought an inexpensive 4X AO illuminated scope (HERE) - $35 and some see-through rings (Like those HERE) - $13

8. Bought some sling swivels from Wal-Mart - $8 and a padded sling (Like the one HERE) - $6

9. Two extra mags and a butt pad - $40 and a soft case - $26 (HERE)

Some of the parts I was able to get locally, so I saved on shipping costs.

I think I have about $250 worth of parts (and many hours of labor) in it.

I decided to use both a peep sight and a scope to give me both short range (peep) and a longer range (scope) aiming options. Looking through the peep, I can see the front sight ring, so it is kind of like a peep-in-a-peep set up.

The scope is AO so I can use it for 10 to 100 yards (though I've only shot it at a 25 yard indoor range so far). It is an illuminated cross hair scope with both red and green options and the illumination knob has a rheostat so it is variable brightness. It is also a mil-dot scope, so I hope to practice using that for distance adjustments.

We've got "his-n-hers", two Uzis, (one a mini uzi, the other full size, both SBR'd) and two Sterlings (also SBRs).

Wants? AR in 9mm, maybe with one of those nifty DEA tops. I'd also absolutely love to have a semi, SBR'd Beretta PM12s, but that'd have to be a one-off.

A semi Sterling or clone will get harder and harder to find/make. We built ours, after first filing the forms 1 for SBRs. The semi parts are getting very hard to come by. You do not want a "PAWS" Sterling look alike, I had one, it was junk, never worked right. Some folks have had better luck. The factory Mk6s are getting very pricey. There are a couple of Mk8s around, actually for about the same price as the Mk6 (that's pretty much what my semi/SBRs are, a copy of the factory Mk8 -- Mk6 internals with a Mk4 barrel, but you said no NFA in your state). If you really want a Sterling, put it higher up on the list. Everything else on there will be easier to find at a later date, the Sterlings are rare now and I don't see a strong chance of anyone tooling up to make them like the MP5 and Uzi clones.

Thanks for all the replies:
I forgot all about the Camp 9 and the Ruger, there were some good deals on those rugers a little while back. I also forgot to mention Calico's carbine, the PITA to clean Mech Tech CCU, and the Masterpiece arms MAC clone. Those will be at the bottom of the list.

I've already got the Beretta CX4. That's the reason the hi-point is on the bottom of the list.

The CX4 is just a hi point built the way I want it:
-reliable hi-cap magazines available.
-better ergos.
-better fit and finish.
-easier to mount optical sights, lights, and forgrips.
-I'm not sure if the accuracy is better but the Beretta can hold 1 inch at 25 yards easy.

By the time I want to buy a hi-point maybe they will have a better factory stock. It would also be nice to see it set it up to take glock mags.

I'm waiting on the HK in hopes that the new us factory for the 416 will be able to produce the MP5 clones.

Kel-Tec Sub 2000. Reliable, light, accurate and takes available mags from a variety of pistols, so if you have a Beretta M92 and order your Kel-Tec with those grips, then you can buy 30rd stick mags and have them fit both carbine and pistol. Purty handy. Also the Kel-Tec folds in half. Very KEWL. Very portable.

I've allways thought these to be classy; it would be a nice compliment to the CX4:

Yep, that's what I said -- Beretta M12S would make a great little SBR. I sure wish I had picked up some parts kits back when they were cheap and readily available!

My 9mm Sub2000 takes Glock mags and rides in an old briefcase (usually in my car). I keep a 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock23 in the case as well so I can feed both weapons the same mags and ammo.

The combination of taking common cheap 33rd magazines and folding small enough to conceal just about anywhere (even on your person) and within 3 - 4 seconds of being ready to fire makes the Sub2000 unique among long arms. It's one major flaw is its inability to take optics due to the folding feature, but at the ranges 9mm is effective, this is not a big problem.

The worst part is I bought it for only $175 about a year and a half ago, and emptied the store of ammo for it at only $8 a box.

I've got a Sterling Mk.6 SA carbine and it is one fun gun to shoot. I picked it up at gun show probably 15 to 16 years ago; even back then they were very scarce and hard to come by. I stocked up on as many magazines as I could find, with original Sterling mags my first choice, followed by MOD variants, and last, Indian surplus mags. And although they say your not supposed to, I've actually had great results running old 32 rd. Sten mags through it. If you do try the Sten mags, make sure you get yourself a Sten mag loader; it really makes the loading process a whole lot easier.

CX-4 Storm and Kel-Tec. The sights can be used on the CX-4 without the laser on it. I have a .45 degree offset mount to remount the laser with and then the open sights will still be usable through the mounts. The laser is great for up close shots and the low power scope is good for long shots, but I think I am going to end up taking off the scope and just mounting a red dot back on it though. It has Yankee Hill 1/2" risers with see through rings on those.
