Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a good game camera to scope out the deer this year.

Any good reconsiderations?

I'm thinking 5.0 megipixels or better, IR flash, and a small case (better to hide it so it's not stolen.)

And it uses a SD card or such (8 GB has a I have several of them.)

Thanks,

Deaf

I have used several - my current favorite is the Bushnell Trophy Cam. I love the small form factor and that one set of batteries lasts forever. Nothing worse than a camera that gobbles up "D" cells - sure adds to the cost in a hurry.

I have several moultree IR camera's and have no complaints, good picture quality, Ill try to upload a some of my pics from last season.

I just ordered these Wildgame Innovations S2 2.0 Megapixel Scouting Camera Twin Pack for $100 shipped from BPS!

I've had exellent results with the Wildgame Innovations IR3 cameras. They are infared 3 megapixel. They've been on the trees for over a year now and are still working like clockwork. (You have to change the batteries and SD cards of course.) I paid $69 dollars each at Dick's. You don't need any more than 3 megapixels for scouting purposes. The larger the file the less space you'll have on your memory card.

I would definitely go with an infared camera over a flash camera. The flash cameras I've used in the past have seemed to spook game. Since switching to infared, I get lots more night pictures.

If you want great anything from the Bushnell Trophy cams to the Reconyx stuff..The primos cams aint bad at all an there cust service an pricing has been great as of late..If you wanna go cheap Wild game innovations..Numero uno thing to remember is to secure an lock up the cam real good..Its a real kick in the:cuss: when one comes up missing..Check out Chasinggame it is a Trail cam forum an they also do unbiased reviews..You can get a wealth of info there
