I've owned both -- 2nd gen 23 and a 3rd gen 19. I sold the 23 along w/ my other 40's. i can shoot the 9mm faster and more accurately than the 40.

Of the options listed, I would go w/ an M14

i went for the 19 for a slightly diff't reason. in my state, i can only have 10 round mags and the added size didn't make sense to me if i could not benefit from the mag capacity. now, as a range only gun, i'd probably go w/ a 34 and benefit from the added sight radius ;)

depends on the gun and the application -- but really, most character is in wood and blue.

ahh -- the age old question -- I first started wondering about a 22lr conv kit back in the early 80's and the answer remains the same -- a resounding..."NO!" So, I ended up w/ a HK4 and shoot that as my HK 22lr :cool:

So, I've seen some great photos here -- and I've tried w/ my point & shoot to take pics of my stuff. But, I just can't seem to figure out the secret -- my question is -- what is the best way to photograph firearms?

I would go w/ something fullsize, probably 9mm -- either a Hi Power -- 92fs -- or USP

When I was a kid, it was a buddy's dad's Tommy gun -- :cool: I was hooked from that day one :D

I inherited a ceramic folder that I use to carry but once I realized the nature of ceramic blades, it became more of a safe queen :cool:

I was taught a long time ago -- if it has to be explained, you'll never get it. When I first saw the P7M8, I knew I had to have one -- it does have its quirks, but it's still the most unique firearm I own :cool: --maybe the bad photography will convince you to get one! ;)

Lately, it has been my 442 exclusively since I got it!

The one time I tried it was the one time I woke up w/ a loaded pistol in my hand :eek: don't need to do that again -- and worse yet -- the possibility of waking up w/ an extra hole in my head...not good! :what: :scrutiny:

If the FN works best for you, keep the FN -- the other 2 should be relatively simple to replace in the pre-owned mrkt if you need to

The few constants are "shot placement" and "get what fits your hand best" -- go w/ a caliber you can afford constantly and can put in the trigger time to get proficient and practice practice practice!

If I were to buy a SIG -- the P6 is the one I would hunt down!

I own a few -- of them, my faves are: P7M8, BHP, 92fs and USP 9. I like each for slightly different reasons but if you're looking for a range gun, give a serious look to the USP. Of the options you provide, I'd lean towards the 92fs ;)
