On foot. I have ridden since childhood, but try keeping a horse in your garage all year! I only bought a 4 wheeler because I hiked my ritualistic behind an hour and a half to be on my stand before sunrise only to have half a dozen 4 wheelers and idiots cruising by all day. Yuppies on 4...
You do not kill real wild hogs like this. It takes 3 generations for the color to breed out of hogs, thus black/dark brown. Wild hogs are almost like wild turkeys, well maybe not, but yuppies can't kill real wild hogs...only like this...
I saw this once with 2 bucks pretty much as a child. The high school principal killed a monster buck that he heard dragging the other buck as they had been tangles so long the lesser buck had died.
Yuppies who can not hunt and have money will always pay big $$ for something they can not produce themselves...I have seen this quite a bit in Texas and from Texans in Oklahoma!
I think they are overpriced, but I am a cheapskate. I generally buy then with whatever accessories for $450-500 used at gunshows. I love them for this price. The last one I bought was in December. I paid $510 for a stainless steel that looked like it had never been fired. Gave it to a 13 yr...
Moose1995 is correct. An animal of this size can not be manhandled. My own best method is to, in such an event as you are being overcome by such an animal, is shove your open hand down the animal's throat with full force. Yes, you are going to lose some hide here, but sometimes you just have...
I have been wanting another 03 Springfield 06 but this one I wish with a peep sight. I have seen several on Gunbroker that are decently sporterized and priced alright also.
Personally I prefer to buy something someone else has already spent the money on.
Not fast at all. I place no big importance on speed myself. I see that more something for people with insecurities. Myself, I generally hit what I fire my weapon at and am steady under pressure.
"Simply?" What elevates your ability to do so above that of the trained professionals who say THEY couldn't/wouldn't do it alone successfully?
It's my house!
I prefer an American made rifle, but prefer the 7.62x39 as the "All is" round. Pretty much leaves me with the Ruger Mini Thirty again. I have all the other rifles with the exception of the AR in 7.62x39.
Why are all of these forum full of haters? Say anything other that what the forum veterans say and everyone is all over you. OH!, the pack mentality, I forgot for a moment. Don;t sweat newer men, ignore the "Charlie Brown's teacher's voice" and just enjoy the forum.
I have probably had a dozen Minis. I have never had a problem. I do not use them for bullbarrel .22-250 shooting precision. The are always accurate enough to shot everything I shoot, even small items. Never a problem.
I prefer other weapons, ARs, FALs, ect., but I do love the Minis!
My personal favorite is a .22magnum. I love my Winchester 9422M and Ruger Single Six. However I carry an array of rifles. M1, M1 carbine, AR, AK, FAL, ect.. Handguns, .22, .22mag., or .45. Whatever you wish!
