o_O 65 actually. Believe me I've considered it, but whenever I get my hands on an accurate pistol .... no problems. There will come a day though.
As for reloading, I never said I was getting keyholes. I've been loading for 40 years, and I know what I'm doing.
I seldom use much of a crimp...
That's what I mean, it's the luck of the draw pretty much. Also means that there's nothing inherently wrong with these things that cannot be fixed.
I don't believe in jinxes or curses.
From my first post;
"I know that a firearm is just a machine, and as such, it can be “fixed” like any other...
In that case, wanna trade pistols?
Every pistol is going to be different. Maybe the Blackhawk I ended up with was just a fluke that I got a perfect piece. And the Uberti is a rare lemon.
Either way, there has to be some way of making this .45 shoot better, rather than just write it off...
Lately I’ve been in contact with a few gunsmiths concerning doing some accurizing work on my Uberti .45.
I’ve had a couple tell me to just sell it and buy a Ruger. Ha .... some kind of help.
Initially I contacted Cimarron about the accuracy issue and was told that they don’t make “target...
I’m interested in knowing if anyone out there is using .44 special/mag brass for hand loading .44-40 ammo? I was told by some gun shop “expert” that it cannot/should not be done, but I would think that there shouldn’t be that much to it.
As .44–40 ammo is stupid expensive, there has to be a...
Be warned; these little mags ain't cheap, at $30-$35 each .... but I guess you don't have much choice, if you need 'em.
I have an Interarms Constable .380 .... not a bad little pistol, but for the size and weight of it - it should be a 9mm.
While we're on the subject, I went into Tractor Supply recently, to check out the sand-blasting products, and they had plastic bags of media in two different grits .... 20/40 and 40/80.
This stuff was black, but the labeling didn't say what it was. IIRC the brand name on the bags was...
I'm needing to invest in a sand-blaster, for small to medium sized projects .... and would appreciate some experienced input.
Could anybody recommend a good one to buy?
What features on a blasting-gun would you recommend .... and what should I avoid?
I have a 'medium' sized compressor, and...
I've been looking over a 'newer' model Iver Johnson M1 Carbine that I'm thinking of buying.
The first thing I couldn't help but notice, is that the rear sight was 'very' loose, in its dove-tail mount. It has a sliding ramp type sight - I'm sure it isn't original .... due to the way it was...
The collapsible stock on my BM 'shorty', rattles like crazy .... I'm wondering if this is a common complaint, or is this one just out of spec? Been looking for an excuse to buy one of the 'older' types .... maybe this is it. Any suggestions for a replacement?
One other thing .... I know...
I once did an older military stock .... and couldn't get it to take enough brown stain to darken it very much. I used a light coat of the "Ebony" colored stain first .... then applied the brown over it. I ended up using a tinted 'satin' polyurethane finish .... but anything would work. Turned...
mp510,
Been a while since I've seen the flic. Just curious as to what you noticed about the SKS rifles, that got you wondering .... 'spike' vs. blade bayonets?
Oh I know .... I'm just curious, no reason in particular. They're two totally different species of animal, however I know nothing concerning the specs on a Val.
Actually, if I were ever to acquire another 2 (or 3) wheeled vehicle, I've always wanted to build a three wheeler, similar to one...
denfoote,
Problem is .... most "bikers" aren't real .... just 'wannabies'. The majority are just 'drunks' with leather jackets, and a chip on their shoulder, trying way too hard to 'impress' people.
Bigjake,
You've got a point, but I'm just wondering (for grins), what the HP rating on the...
TWENTY SEVEN
I really don't think you'd catch much flak from too many people, by riding one of those 'beasties'. BIG difference between that and a GW. I better quit lookin' at that photo, before I find myself at the local Honda shop monday morning .... just to look, of course. :evil...
