Here's a good video presentation on trigger control with double action autos. M9 / 92fs specifically. Paul puts out a firearms video once a week it would seem.

All these are good mounts. You ain't going to get away cheap for a good M14/M1A mount.
YHM is currently advertising their Customizable Free Float Forearm System on sale for all three lengths. I have one on my 6.8 AR and recommend it. Some of the rail systems are on sale too.
Scroll halfway down the page. They are solid. $106, $116, and $136 depending on length. These are...

Our Brigade bought the foregrip/bipod things for all the soldiers before deployment to Iraq. I hate mine and just keep it in the duffle bag. I can't remmember if I signed a hand reciept for it or not. Units also leave all kinds of crap behind, and lots of it will be destroyed as we pull out...
Light ball. Wolf is safe and accurate. The green boxed silver tip is likely the Czech ammo. Good stuff, corrosive.
To ID ammo, try these pages.

I have 5 Mosin Nagant rifles from Aim, as well as about 5 SKS's. They were very nice rifles IMO. Good bores, bluing was great, and wood was sound with few blemishes. Keep in mind they are surplus/rearsenaled. I bought mine around 2004-2005. I had a C&R 03 FFL back then. I'd recomend them...
I haven't heard very many good things about their quality. A lot of guys will tell you to RUN the other way. But I've never used their product so take it for what its worth.
For your purpose go with the Mini 30 or Saiga. AK prices are going down from orbit now, so if you like, take a look. The Romanian AK's I would stay away from unless your schooled on how to spot a good one. Even than you may find other issues after shooting one. I love my SAR 3, but it...
I hunt with my M1A. Your right. Heavy. Put a GI fiberglass stock on it to help with the weight. Sometimes I go with the Savage 99 when I'm tired of going up and down those canyons with the beast. I'm a strong guy, but still it can kick my butt.
My family has been taking Elk with 150 gr Remington Core-Lokt for decades out of our .300 savage's Mdl 99's, so the same out of a .30-06 should do fine. Heavier bullets may give more piece of mind.
Mine- 2 inch to 2.5 inch groups of 5 at 100 meters. With 1 minute between shots to keep the heat down. Some of the PSL's out there don't shoot as well after heating up. Thin barrels can do this sometimes. Others report 2 to 5 inch groups depending on the gun and the shooter. Thats what I've...
There is extra marksmanship training for soldiers who are tasked as SDM. They often use the same weapons as the rest of the squad, but sometimes will be issued weapons other than M4's, such as M16A4's or M14's or maybe M110's (our scouts have those in my unit, not us grunts). Scoped or not...
Shop around. Midway, BCM, Global Tactical, Larue Tactical, and many others have the parts you need. Just surf around. Parts are starting to pop back up as IN STOCK again, but it still isn't one stop shopping anywhere yet.
I just ordered a BCM upper reciever and bolt carrier from Bravo...
