I recommend it. I agree with post #12, that is how I use it with SD card and load the file direct into Excel. It has its "setup" quirks like at chron but they are all at the firing line.
Hornady 55 FMJ should give you 1-2" groups at 100 yd with out any problem, sometime better. Their 55 JSP is the most accurate of the 55 gr bullets I have shot in 1-10, 1-9 and 1-8 twist barrels. Winchester FMJ are the worst I've ever used.
Have 1911's in both. Love them both. Shoot 45 ACP mostly but would feel fine carrying either one. Brass life depends on the loads but 8 loads of less than max is not a problem. Can work up some really great loads for 38 Super.
I own a 24/7 and XDm 5.25, both 45's. 24/7 never gave me a problem but I did have to take some sharp edges off the chamber to feed SWC's. XDm 5.25 hasn't given me a problem with any bullet shape. Both guns have about 5,000 rounds thru them. Both are accurate and easily shootable, but my...
I can only tell you that over the years I have replaced all my 1911 grips with the Pachmayr's. The main reason for me is keeping the grip on the front strap but also liking the "grippy" feel of the rubber in my hand. Most people I've heard comment just don't like the looks - I don't care; what...
I enjoy shooting mine. Lots of good reduced loads and cast bullet loads, start with the 32-20 loads as mentioned. You can go with the rifle loads when you need them. All seem to be accurate in my OM 30C's.
Hi neighbor, I have one of those, the barrel bore wants bullets of .357 or .358 size, not the usual .356 for 9mm. Fit is king, if the bullet is undersize, it will lead the barrel. Load some dummy rounds with .357 and .358 size cast bullets and see if they will completely chamber. Pick the...
Chore-boy pad, make sure it is copper, not copper coated steel. This will clean the lead out. Then, tweak your load as already suggested. Bore cleaners wil not do it. Bullet fit is king, your CB's may be too small in diameter for your barrel.
That turned out real nice. You did a good job fitting which is shown by the accuracy. I built some 1911's on PO frames many years ago for my own use and they shoot good but don't look near as nice. Good job.
Giraud is the top of the line, works great and haven't regretted the price. But I undeerstand its too expesive for lots of reloaders. I used a Lyman trimmer for many years and they work fine.
I have a target set just behind the second screen (I have an old Oehler from the 80's) and take my first shot high; adjust my aim after that to get good readings. Haven't shot the screens yet.
I bought a Midway vibrator unit 20 years ago and still use it 3-4 times a week. A few years ago I bought a second Midway/Frankfort vibrator kit with sifter - also works great.
Sounds like low pressure load is marginal on ejection and slide recoil, thereby not locking open when empty and not allowing enough time for the case to clear the port before closing. Unique should do it but appears it is not.
