Hey hotshot, that's the second time you've posted that nicely subtle slap to the face. I guess maybe you should like to know that my semi auto failures were not shooter induced...
"As a gun dealer, you are well aware that 99% of all gun buyers expect their new guns to work right out of the box."
I'm just one of the 99-percent-of-gun-buyers types, but I'd love to meet that one idiot out of a hundred who would buy a gun with the expectation that it won't work.
Well, I finally got my LCP back from Ruger this week. It spent just a little over a month in Arizona. I took it out to the desert and put a total of 75 rounds through it--some Remington, some American Eagle, and some Winchester. All 95 gr. All FMJ. The Winchester is flat-nosed. No...

Load the DA semi-auto with a full mag and an empty chamber.
Pick up each one and pull the trigger. It's different."
Stump, that's not what I mean at all. I meant, with a DA semi-auto loaded and one...
"See... if you carry a wheel gun you wouldn't have to ask that question."
How is that different from a double action semi-auto? And yet the question is still asked and being answered. It makes a good point. If you carry a double action revolver, it is assumed you'll load it fully. But if...
Farnorthdan,
I already tried a bunch of different ammo--not that I think that one should have to wade through otherwise reliable ammo makers to find the one that my fussy gun likes. My LCP was fussy (i.e., unreliable) with all of them.
I called Ruger today. They got my LCP on July 10th. Customer service said they are backed up a month. So maybe in two weeks, I'll have my LCP back, and we'll see if it's going to stay.

Is the list really that long? I guess I have to take a course on Kahr and study up. I just don't know my Kahrs like I'm supposed to. Does anybody know of a...
Jocko said: "Don't compare it to the lcp or kt 380, both good guns but the kahr just offers so much more that could never be done in the $300 price range or even close to it. It's got to work perfect though or at any price, it will not be acceptable."
I'd like to know what more it will offer...
taurusowner,
It looks like you read only the previous couple of posts, and then posted. If you'd read the whole thread, you would know I've put many different ammo brands through my LCP. They all failed me. Or rather my LCP failed them all.
As to the point on money, I don't buy that...
Yeah, but I hate the way the Kel-Tecs feel. They are rough and poorly finished. If both guns reputedly have their share of problems, I'd rather have one with a nice finish at the very least. Maybe what I should've done is wait for the new Kahr.
"I had the same kind of problem - FTF - with the first few mags but after about 100 rds it seems to be doing better. In my opinion, many autos need to be broken in."
Mine is actually getting worse. I polished the ramp--it's not that. I checked the magazine rails--very smooth. I don't know...
Maybe it's the mag. Maybe it's the feedramp. Maybe it just sucks, though I hope not. I polished the feed ramp. I'll see if that solves it. If not, I'll let ruger figure out the rest.
It had ftfeeds with Magtech FMJ round nose, American Eagle FMJ round nose, WWB FMJ flat nose, and Hornady JHP/XTP. It jammed more consistently with the American Eagles, but it still jammed with all of them.
Yes, I cleaned it very well. I clean my guns very fastidiously. I cleaned the LCP before I ever shot it the first time, and I cleaned it after I shot it. Actually, I just reread your post. You asked did I "clean and lube it before the second day?" No, I didn't clean and lube it before the...
Well my second day of shooting my new LCP was not as successful as my first. The first session gave me faith in the little gun. My second session removed my faith. It's not currently fit for personal defense. It consistently has problems feeding rounds into the chamber. It usually happened...
