Wow, just wow.
So possession of a firearm is probable cause that the firearm is stolen?
What about any other object with a serial number on it?
The Constitution, please read it.
Many people do not have the ability to objectively analyze risk. That is not to say that you couldn't be in a situation where you need to defend yourself.
Everyone has a certain risk from environmental threat. However, the threat risk to a person who lives in the suburbs and works in a fortune...
As a fellow Texan, I will ask you to just please keep your mouth shut.
There are only 3 signs that mean anything to a CHL holder, the 30.06 sign and the two signs issued by TABC to places that serve alcohol. The blue sign that says "The unlicensed possession of a firearm" means go right on in...
No, they are not.
Perpetuating this lie causes people to question your credibility and then treat loaded and unloaded guns differently.
Basically you can't lie to yourself and get away with. Your mind knows better and will eventually create an internal inconsistency that will bite you at...
Hey dubbleA, looks like you know quite a bit about this stuff. I just got a Mark AR 3-9 to play around with for my AR, but will be needing a more robust scope in the future when I get a Rem 700 in .308. From what I've read, I want a mil dials and mil reticles to really make things work out...
"Identical" guns in different calibers may not be identical. My P2000SK in .40 has a lot more metal left in the slide whereas in the 9mm the slide is mostly hollow. Perceived recoil is very similar between the two.
I bought two boxes to try it out. It is the least expensive 124 grain I have found. Most around here is around $20 a box.
I'm hoping it will make my BHP cycle a little better.
Here's my thoughts...
A person who owns a gun *only* for some sporting purpose would be willing to give up that gun when the need for that purpose no longer exist. Example: I'm old and I don't hunt anymore, so I'll sell my guns. This person is less likely to recognize the reasons of others that...
1) To see if it's something cool I don't already have.
2) To figure out what it is and where they got it.
3) To go and get one to put on my rifle. :neener:
I've got an SR-556. I'm a newb to rifles, so take my opinion as you will. First, if you are going to be a LEO, you need to make sure what you get is approved by the dept where you want to work. Most have lists of approved gear and you can't use stuff not on the list.
That said, if you like all...
You would think so until you have them on top of each other, the Mak seems smaller and sleeker than it really is. Cool design I guess...
And it depends what aspect your measuring. The Mak is a tiny bit shorter in length and height. The frame and barrel of the Mak are about 1/4" narrower, but...
I've got a Russian Mak with Marschal grips on it. It's a nice reliable pistol that was cheap by today's standards.
For me, it doesn't make much sense as a carry gun. It's exactly the same size as my P2000SK's and I can carry 11 rounds of 9mm or 10 rounds of .40 with those. So for the same...
At the last defensive training class I took, the instructor of course said we should carry an extra magazine. Then he showed a bunch of FBI data justifying close range training. The average gun fight occurs at about 10ft and the defender uses an average of 5 rounds.
So, now my inner...
The jamming problem with the Gen4s is pretty clearly explained in the link to the Glock forum as "just shooting" the gun and it's jamming sometimes for some of the shooters and works most of the time or all of the time for the owner and a report that Glock support says that many owners are...
Neither. I considered all the options and selected the P2000SK's based on my needs after trying Sigs, Glocks, HKs, and Kimbers. I made my choice based on the functionality I wanted.
I didn't make my choice based on popularity and price which appears to be the most quoted reason for buying a...
Not really a fair comparison as 1911's are made by dozens (maybe hundreds) of different manufacturers with a plethora of after market parts. There is not a real baseline for quality and reliability.
Glock are made by Glock alone. If they're messed up, there's only one company to point the...
I've got a couple of P2000SKs, one in 9mm and one in .40S&W. I also have a P30 for the range. I'm left handed. I chose these pistols because they are completely ambidextrous. I also practice shooting right handed with a weak grip attempting to get a misfeed due to limp wristing. It just won't...
