Desertshooter, rimfire is actually exempted from this bill. But it doesn't matter.
This is what they are after:
Registration/license can be given, it can be taken away. Requirements for such registration or revocation of thereof will not be decided by legislature, it would be left to DoJ. DoJ...
It is not. However, pro-CCW movement in these states (including my state of CA) would get a huge boost on the grounds of "hundreds of thousands of visitors are legally allowed to carry firearms, why aren't our own residents? Are we less trustworthy than them?"
Sorry OF, you are wrong. Here's the new legal CA definition of loaded chamber indicator:
(d)(1) A functioning chamber load indicator must meet all of the following conditions:
(A) Explanatory text and/or graphics either incorporated within the chamber load indicator or adjacent to the...
The NRA is doing the right thing here. This BS needs to be put down right now. There are plenty of anti-gun municipalities not only in CA but all across the country that would love to follow the shining example given the opportunity, and I bet they are watching SF experiment with interest. If...
Has anyone actually read how the panel would be picked under prop 77??
Two Democrat selectors would pick 6 REPUBLICAN judges, two REPUBLICAN selectors would pick 6 Democrat judges. Each selector would then have a right to eliminate one of the 12 picks. Panel of three judges would be picked at...

Transport them any way you want, as long as they are unloaded. There's no requirement to put them in a case or in the trunk. It would probably be a good idea to be mindful of accidentally scaring anybody though.
This bill is simple majority.
Last year's ammo tax bill was killed by none other than Arnold who vetoed the bill after the senate and assembly happily voted for it.
Well, those who argued "not to throw away their vote" by voting for Tom McClintock must be really proud now.

Hello to fellow ex-USSRian!
Assuming you were legal resident with green card the gunshop should have completed the sale without your being a citizen, and they could have if they wanted to. I think they just were extra cautious, can't really blame them for that.
Unfortunately your situation...
I had that idea too, they look good and would have been pretty convenient with all those pockets, compartments, etc. But I could't find any bags longer than 36", which seems to be the standard size. Not long enough for most rifles.
I forget where I saw this, but it goes something like:
A well educated society, being necessary to the prosperity of a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books, shall not be infringed.
Here, nobody in their right mind would insist that the right to have books is limited...
