I have the "Tap-A-Cap" that I believe Dixie Gun Works produced ,that and a few drink cans cut to size ,along with a roll or two of toy cap pistol caps and you can keep your self in percussion caps for a while I know I make about 1/2 of the caps I use . For those that have never used one before...

Carl I have a model 99 Savage in 300Savage and it's the gold trigger which I have been told was the centennial model. I was just being greedy and wanted the bolt action version too

update I will probely kick myself for years to come ..But I didn't buy the rifle I set over a cup of coffee this morning weighing if it was a "Need" or a "Want" ,I just couldn't justify spending the money to satify a "Want" so someone went home with it instead of me. :banghead:

Thanks Seabee I have plenty of ammo,and a good re-loader so not worried about the availability of shoot-able rounds

It is the rifle manufactured by Savage, and chambered for the 300Savage cartridge ,I have used that round for many years deer hunting with a lot of success

Hopefully someone can spot me an answer tonight ,But I am wondering if $329.00 is a good price for a older (but in nice shape) bolt action Savage 300 I have a Savage 300 in lever action ,but have always wanted the bolt action version finally found one ,just wondering if the price is right ...
