Have you ever tried shooting a BHP with the mag safety left in place?

    what to carry

The 1911, if a .45 ACP, works well for most situations.

Field Carry: Cross Draw vs Straight Draw

I use a chest carry rig...better than either cross draw or strong side.

    Possible trade, want some thoughts

I would trade. I carry my .45 Colt MG far more often than I do my Ruger SA. They are really good firearms.

    Does anyone else do this?

    Is this catching?

    Rained out

I think the K22 may come out at or near the top for accuracy. I have a couple of S&W K frame .22's and they outshoot all my other .22s (especially the 8 3/8 17-4).

How hot can it handle? 10-6

Uh...S&W made numerous .357 magnum revolvers using the K Frame. The Model 13, 19, 65, and 66 are just a few examples.

Question for those who like to go a little more old fashioned in their ammo choices?

I too like the WFN bullets in my revolvers. I do not worry about overpenetration, however. The majority of bullets fired in LE shootings completely miss their targets, so overpenetration is not the greatest consideration. I have not seen the data on non-LE shootings, but I will wager a similar...

My Smith & Wesson 625 .45 ACP Revolver

Yep...case hardening. The 3" 625-3 was made during the timeframe of flash-chrome triggers and hammers.

My Smith & Wesson 625 .45 ACP Revolver

I carry this one: Range toy: I have well over 100 moonclips and will usually have about 50-75 loaded for a range session.

    Double Action Shooting

SA only when targets are out past 100 yards or so. DA the rest, so about 99% DA.

    380 vs 38 special

I never understood this attitude. Weird.

    Your top 5 carry guns!

In no particular order: S&W Model 625-3 .45 ACP Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP S&W Model 13-4 .357 Magnum Colt Combat Elite .45 ACP Glock Model 27 .40 S&W (too ugly to photograph)

Let's show some .22 target revolvers

Two views of my S&W Model 17-4 that was a birthday gift from my wife. Shoots like a rifle.

Disadvantages of frangible ammo in defensive use?

I saw a shooter shoot himself in the hip, while drawing a Glock, using frangible ammo for the steel target range. The bullet went through his holster, belt, and pants, into his hip, bounced off his pelvis and ran down the outside of his right femur. The bullet exited just above and right of his...

    My Speed Strip Reload

I have been carrying revolvers and speed strips for over 4 decades and never had such a problem.

    My Speed Strip Reload

You miss the point entirely...It is like having only 1 spare magazine and it is partially loaded, such as a 10 round mag only loaded with 7 because 7 is standard. Why would you not fully load the speed strip to carry additional ammo? There is ZERO downside and only upside. Makes absolutely no...
