My 1911 I won at a dinner a couple years ago....
$20.00 ticket and BAM!
Grips have since been replaced and plenty of wear from range time! Shoots great and often!
Not exactly - I can buy a "rifle" from a private party and not have to fill out any paper work. For instance, in MI the only thing that has to have paper work done on it between private parties is HANDGUNS.....
I can buy AR's and shotty's all day long without doing any paperwork if I am...
Total Length is a touch over 16. So there is really no added length. The original barrel length was roughly 13 inches when I got that particular barrel. So this was a perfect choice to fix the reliability issues I was having with it....
The KX3 excels at protecting personnel from side blast...
Right - for some reason the way I read it , it seemed it was twisted. After rereading it I see now how it was meant....
Guess I should have slept longer today....LOL
This is interesting......
Can you elaborate further on this? I for one have rarely seen a problem with anything they turn out. Their gear is not the end all of every problem but it address's alot of concerns that other gear does not...
They do plenty of testing of their equipment before...
They are suppose to out this Summer.....
MAGPUL takes their time in releasing items to make sure they are as perfect as they can be. I do not suspect a huge wait on these as we did the Carbine Guards though since they got most the bugs worked out on the carbine models....
If your asking what I made the rail piece out of for my light it was made off a Yankee Hill two piece Gas block:
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=46893/pid=21445/sku/2_Rail_Gas_Block
Two cuts on a band saw and you have two light mounts...
I know MACO makes a version, as...
Degrease and go.....
Let it dry 10 minutes between coats. I painted mine outside in the summer sun, so my dry times were cut in half. Have fun and post your results!
I kryloned my AR and have been pleansatly satisfied. Actually the more the paint wears - the better it looks....
Like others have said - there are many different options you can go. It really depends on what type of light and where you want to mount it...
You certainly do not need to buy a FF Hand Guard. They make a 100 quality rails that snap in to place just like your hand guards. Midwest Industries...
Yup - I drilled mine out.
It does not take a special bit or anything. Just choose one slightly smaller then the size of the rivot and go to it. Once you start drilling your be thru it before you know it. The rivot is simply aluminum so it will go quick...
I stock a few hundred rounds of the SS109 myself....
If you happen to be targeting "things" in cars and such then this round will certainly do the job. If the "things" your targeting are walking around with armor on or chest rigs with mags and equipment on them - SS109 will help you penetrate...
Yup - thats the one....
I just installed one of these on a 870 20 gauge last week.....
No gunsmithing needed. Screw it on and enjoy!
I ordered mine from Brownells but its the exact same one......
Its a huge toss up between
Iowa Pheasants:
Bow Hunting Whitetail:
Perhaps Bow Hunting Whitetails in IOWA would settle the arguement! (I seriously need to move)
Well - I have a shotty that was in a house fire....
The stocks are trashed as you can see but all the springs are GTG for tension and "springyness" if you will..... All the springs work in the trigger housing and when I took apart the magazine the spring shot out of there like no other spring...
Rimfires (exceptions above) and just plan cheaply manufactured firearms are out of the question....
If its a quality firearm then your GTG. Your not going to break the firing pin by dry firing any more then it will down the road after years of service....
Practice away!
When my Grandpa starting getting "older" I noticed a lack of service to his firearms. It was not because he didn't care - just that it was "forgotten" I guess....
We would go down there every month or so as he only lived two hours away. So when I was there I would descreetly check them out...
