Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

I just order from them and the purchase when through without a hitch. They are good to go.

    380 ACP Brass Question

Mad Chemist, I am in agreement with you. It is not an out of spec chamber because this happened with five different guns (LCP's and M&P 380's). No misfires and I am using Wolf primers. OAL .964 to .970 Not over crimped. Finished rounds match the specs in the Hornady manual and drop in my...

    380 ACP Brass Question

Interesting, of the first 25 I picked out 20 were Federal, one CCI, two R-P, and two Speer. You can see in the picture that the split on some of this Federal brass does not start at the mouth of the case, so I am thinking it is bad brass.

    380 ACP Brass Question

I will see what brands. I toss all the split brass in a bucket. I will pull the 380's out and see. The Federal brass above looks exactly like most of the 380 splits. Especially the ones where the split goes sideways across the brass. Thinking "bad brass." Lennie

    380 ACP Brass Question

I reload 38sp, 45ACP, and 9mm. Now and again one or two of the cases will split. Recently I started loading 380 ACP and am noticing what, to me, seems like and incredible number of split cases. I purchase the 380 brass from a couple of different vendors. I picked out the ones that were...

Do you reload 1 or all of your cartridges?

Everything except 22lr and shotgun shells. I have never fired a factory round in the vast majority of my guns. Lennie

What was wrong with this gun

Thanks guys. That would also explain the sharp lines at the neck while the case is in contact with the chamber and the smearing lower down when the case has lost contact with the chamber and the gas can swirl.....man I learn something everyday from this site. Lennie

What was wrong with this gun

Can anybody help me diagnose this bunch of 308 brass I found at the range. I was wondering what was wrong, or up with, the gun that fired it. All of the brass was beat up but I have seen gas guns do that, but I have never seen brass with those black lines on them. The lines are not scratches...

    Do primers "keep"

Short story. Packed up all my reloading stuff when we moved. Big box. Moved the box into the storage room where the hot water heater was. Getting the box off the dolly it tipped, I could hear everything falling in the box, thousand of sized and lubed lead bullets ,primers, power, dies sprayed...

First .223 AR Reloads! Ejection direction?

Brass Catcher I built this using the smallest PVC I could find at Homedepot $3.55 for 10 feet and two elbows and a "T" about $1.75. I used an old piece of 2 x 4 I had laying around and some old screen tent (an old sheet can be used instead of the screen tent). It works. It catches the brass and...

What's your case lube of choice?

I have been using Hornady case lube in the tub for several years, and have been very pleased with it. But after hearing so many good things about Imperial Wax I decided to give it a try. It worked, but it took a little more effort to size 308 military brass than the Hornady case lube in the tube...

Lyman Case-Prep Xpress or RCBS® Trim Mate™ Case Prep Center?

I have the RCBS Trim Mate and it works. The only complaint I have is that the back most spindle is too close to the motor housing and is difficult to use. The Lyman layout looks better. I would like to see the Lyman in person because in the pictures it does not look very robust and that...

.308 Brass - What's Wrong with this Picture?

W.E.T said, If you're not using a case gage to measure your sized cases to set up your sizing die, you're doing it wrong. +1 to that. Different shell holders of the same brand will give different results when full length sizing. Without the gage you are pretty much clueless. Discovered...

ReLoading for the AR 10 #*^%!! AARGG

I am voting with rcmodel; "second sentance in post #13!" Although, I can't see how, "I have successfully loaded for several different .308 bolt guns--got the process, and results, down pat." If that, in fact, is the case seems like the die would have already been setup correctly. C'mon man...

    Surplus powder question

When changing from one lot of 844 to another I start at the bottom of the recommended charge for H335 and work up the load. I load rounds with the exact same charge weight in H335 and 844. I then shoot the 844 and H335 rounds from two different rifles (one bolt, one gas) over a chronograph. Once...

ReLoading for the AR 10 #*^%!! AARGG

It would be interesting to see a picture of one of these cases after you try to size it. If the chamber being out of spec is causing this I think it would qualify as "extreme!" LennieT

What have you found to be the best case trimmer.

Little Crow Gunworks trimmer and a drill press works for me. Use to gauge all my brass and then trim if needed on a Hornady or Lee trimmer. The Little Crow Gunworks trimmer is so fast that I don't bother checking my brass, I just run it all though the trimmer. There is a reason they call it the...

    Walnut for cleaning brass

I purchased a batch of walnut media from Dillon and got 15 lb for $33 (including shipping). Then I found this: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/235216/product.web For $60 (including shipping) you can more than three times the amount from Dillion. I use to use only corn cob. When...
