I want to purchase a model 66 S & W, but I've read where the 66 no dash models may be subject to cylinder rubs or lock-up and that the other model 66s, such as -1, -2, etc do not have this problem. Can anyone clarify this ?
Thanks.
Cheap .357
Several months ago, I bought a new Rossi .357, four inch revolver at Academy for $299. I am well pleased, shoots straight with .357 and .38. Mild recoil, would buy again.
Charter vs Rossi
I have a three inch, .38 cal Rossi and a four inch, .357 Rossi. Both shoot straight and have had no problems. The .357 is really a pleasure to shoot. Would buy both again.
Have no experience with Charter Arms, but plan to buy a .22 CA for plinking.
I have a Rossi 3 inch .38 revolver and a 4 inch .357 revolver and they both work great. Last year I bought a Taurus 9mm pistol that jammed and shot far to the left. A friend and I could never correct these problems, so I sold it.
Don't have any experience with the pistols but I do own a 995TS carbine in 9mm. It's a smooth shooter at 100 yards. Haven't tried it at longer ranges, but I'm glad I bought one. Straight shooter, no jams, low recoil. Great little short range carbine .
