Of all the guns listed in the original post only one is really suitable for semi-serious bullseye work and that is the Buckmark. The 22A might be marginally acceptable say for informal shooting at a local gun club. The rest of those guns really are not "target pistols".
I don't know why...
All of my magazines which came from the manufacturer have the manufacturer's name or logo on them somewhere. Since I only shoot 3 calibers, .22, 9MM and .45, telling them apart is not a problem.
It does seem like an easy problem to solve with only a little effort.

I wouldn't choose a gun for self defense that I wasn't comfortable putting in regular practice with. It makes no sense to me to shoot the gun just enough to test reliability and then stick it in your holster or drawer and forget about it until the BG shows up. I want to feel confident that...
Manufacturers tend to put smaller calibers into smaller, lighter framed guns. What you wind up with is similarly snappy recoil to a larger caliber in a slightly larger gun. In my opinion the smaller framed guns create a problem with gripping and controlling them making what recoil they produce...

Someday when/if I escape the People's Republic of New Jersey I may be able to answer this. But if I could I would probably choose based upon which of my guns I shot the best and was concealable within reason.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mp7. If at all possible get thee to somewhere that rents and handles a variety of different manufacturer's products. What suits me or your buddy or anyone else may not necessarily suit you. You will be much happier if you tried it and liked it than you will be...
