Just not sure which .380 to get. Help me!

The Cheetah's from Beretta are fine pistols in either single or double stack versions. The Browning BDA is comparable as they are basically the same pistol. I looked at Model 85 Cheetahs, Bersa's and Sigs and ended up with a slightly used P230-SL for $300. Threw in a few bucks in fresh...

I am looking for a Commander type 1911

I just ordered a Dan Wesson Bobtailed Commander. 4.25" with FLGR. Awful nice pistol but the same price as a Colt Commander (from what I was able to tell). http://www.danwessonfirearms.com/products/catalog/1/3 Just me two cents :)

Opinions keep 92FS or get P99?

Voice of Experience here guys. Sold my Inox 92FS to get money to buy my CZ 75B. Figured I didn't need two 9mm's and I have my Inox 96 Brigadier to get my Beretta fix. Sound thinking I thought. Wrong! I like the CZ alot and do not regret getting it. I found out that I loved the 92...

    CCW 1911's

Thanks for all the imput folks. I've looked at more than a few variations and in the price range ($550 - $700) I think you can indeed find a reliable, well made, and handsome 28oz. 1911. The Others are pretty evenly split (there's a surprise) with 3 Colts, 2 Kimbers, a Sig and a CS45 plus...

    R. Lee Ermey is now a Glock spokesman.

Quote of PeacefulJeffery Jeffrey, I don't have a fundmental problem with Glocks or their lack of an external safety. Your point above SHOULD be the endall of any argument regarding firearm safety and therefore the pistol's design legitimacy, unfortunately it's not. When Glocks are issued...

Looking for opinions on Smith and Wesson 1911 SC

Feb/Mar Guns and Ammo Handgun Magazine has one on the cover. Pat Sweeney gave a very good review of the pistol including including turning it over to his PD classes for them to wring it out. After 1,000's of rounds, they had NO failures of any kind. I've been looking at them as well and...

    FiveseveN Range Report

Found these. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/semi4sale.cgi?read=104025 Don't know anything about these people but it seems like a decent price for a pistol and hicaps.

    Sig or CZ for Xmas?

I agree with what everyone says here including the part about how you won't get a definitive answer from this group. That is a direct result of both the Sig and the CZ being awesome, quality weapons. I own the 75B and just love the feel and pointability of the rascal. I did touch up the...

Anyone bought a new pistol lately?

Got a new CZ 75B in the last month and it was a roll of the dice as to whether it would have 15's or 10's. I don't go to Vegas anymore (read: I got 10's).

    Bond 21 gun?

Personally I think he should be issued the new Beretta PX4. Can't be anything without style. No Smiths, Sigs or, Gawd forbid, Glocks. You see that movie Johnny English with Rowen Atkinson? Beretta 92FS and I almost peed myself laughing at that guy. He's the greatest.

Glocks and SIG's - your recommendations and why.

Starting out, let me say I've never shot a mid or full size Sig. The only big Sig (a P220ST) that I've handled felt great but felt noticably heavier to me than my Beretta 96 Brigadier. I have owned a Glock M26 in the past and only traded it off because I got an opportunity for another...

    Korth revolvers anyone?

Seem like fine revolvers but when the $6,000 version is still not the Deluxe version (up to $11,000), you got to wonder who they are selling to. Shieks and the such, I guess.

    Which .380?

There's a P232 at GunBroker.com right now. Sig factory certified reconditioned stainless with night sights for $399.00. Sounds like a very nice deal.! Gunbroker Do it man, she's worth it and neither of you will be disapointed.

    Which .380?

FM, those are the Hogue wrap-arounds I put on all of my pistols. About $15.00 everywhere. A lot of the new and used stainless Sigs will come with these grips. Mine did not so I just bought one. The nice thing about the Hogue grips for the P230, is that they wrap completely aroung the grip...

    Who GREASES their slides?

I've got to second the Wilson grease. Stays put and a little dab goes a long way. My Sig really likes it on the hammer/sear as well.

    Which .380?

Just carried my Sig P230 SL to the range today to try a few different loads. Found the plain old Winchester to be the most accurate with 3" groups at 50'. I could shoot that pistol all day if I could get someone to reload the 7rnd mags. The purchase was for my wife who didn't like the G26 I...

What aare you getting to close out '04?

Well, year end means bonus time at work so I just finished my 2004 splurge. Got a new CZ 75B in satin nickle and traded for a Sig P230SL. Also couldn't pass up a 6" Colt Python (circa 1966) I found at my fav. gunshop. Three new and new to me's in the last month. I'm DONE!!
