Excellent buy and choice. A well set up 1911 by a master gunsmith custom 10mm is not hard on the gun. The 1911 format is amazingly strong. It is just hard to set up perfectly with top grade steel by a non master of the format
I go to a 10 round capacity mag gun when going into capacity reduced states that I feel safe to pass thru . Since I don't have CCW for most of those they should be locked away in the hidden truck safe. Some places I completely avoid. Some you can't on trips. Also my less than ten round guns...
I sold my .44 spl NF Nickle on Gun Broker for $2200 in 2021 . It was in a Colt display case but I had put a hundred rounds thru it and it cleaned up like new. I could not say "unfired" . The thing shot like a python , it was 7.5" 1979
I was un paranoid enough to get quick free SBR approval on all my "braced" hokey work around stuff. Best move in a long time I made.
If I want to cross interstate with any of them just remove the stock on a former sold as factory pistol in states legal to have such dangerous devices.
Exactly ! Say sure I have the right to walk down a dark street in a known crime area late at night. But how would it be accepted if a teen aged ethnic gang attacked me and I opened up my coat and took on a dozen or more with say a legal SDMP5 and a belt full of magazines? Guess who gets national...
Well for me it comes to same coclusion as I have that the hassle free 16" with or without suppressor is about optimum. I came to that conclusion before 1980 with my Colt CAR 15 SP1 . I never liked any barrel on an AR below 11+" and the 16" non NFA barrel seems perfect for field use. I have...
Take aways that reinforced what I learned in 50+ years:
Don't back pedal, ever. Martial art foot work sliding steps backward work on Dojo floors, only.
The lateral getting off ex works and training secrets will install the methods for application as correctly discussed.
Never walk onto any...
I think steel 1/8 " thick and about 1/2 or a little wider custom hot forged inlaid and polished smooth and checkered and browned pistol grip cap to trigger guard and trunnion would Uber kewl.eslecilly with .54 barrel keep the grip from crack at wrist
I and a son who is the curator of the NFA Family trust have a few .300 BO and we are very enthusiastic about the caliber. We have 16" guns that we shoot super sonic ammo in to shoot game and Varmints and fun to get all the velocity and power we can. The 110 Monolithic Hollow points are...
I'm sure it has Skeet one and Skeet Two chokes. Winchester Skeet chokes like that are absolutely the best upland bird chokes in 12,16 and 20 gauge. I had a 21 in 16 gauge not as pretty as yours. In 16 Gauge modern ammo is really great , I used Fiocchi Golden Phesant in #6 for all upland Game...
I have a Swiss Luger like that and in .30 Luger of course and it is by far more accurate and trouble free than any I ever owned. It shoots crazy little dinky 2" groups at 50 yards rested when My eyes were good with my cast bullet hand loads. I don't really shoot it much anymore . I do shoot the...
I think the utilizing the China Covid as an excuse and the Biden anti gun regulations leaned on carriers has greatly encouraged and motivated theft in the Carrier systems since 2019. I never or bey rarely had issues before. After all it is the computer age for twenty years nowadays.
Would have made a nice 6 shot Super Single Six! I had a Colt Bisley from 1908 that Christy gun works modified to a six shot K hornet wit new barrel and cylinder sor 20+ years. Actuall it was NOT todays full length K Hornet being it was about an 1/8" shorter OAL than todays full length K hornet...
All this Askins Avenger love. For us old timers we bought Either Milt Sparks Nelson #1 holsters or from Bruce Nelson himself. I still have one for a 1911 from Bruce and one for a High Power from Uncle Milt Sparks , duly lined of course . Heres and slick outfit that still makes them. Does the...
