Colloquium on Pointshooting in Tucson Arizona

Brownie had a one day class in Tucson, yesterday at Desert Trails. He had an assistant instructor, and with the small class size, all students received a lot of personal attention. The class was well worth the cost! I know I'll be in Tucson this fall.

Anyone take a good knife fighting class?

RE: Knife Training I usually keep my head down here, but I figured I could add something in this thread. I have worked (training) with Brownie for about a year now with about 50 hours one-on-one attention. My first impression was 'Wow', this stuff works. I do not have a MA background at...

Geesh, will you guys knock it off? :) All I hear is the sound of blades snapping into lock. Brownie, what have you started? It works, its fast. What more can you ask? I'll tell you, "What am I going to do with it now?" You've pulled it, do you indulge yourself in a Rambozo...

    Embarassing Knife Questions

uhhh... hso, Not to get in any urinating competition, but Brownie taught me to cap the end on a reverse grip to keep the hand from sliding down the blade. Saw him today and confirmed same. We may differ on this, but I agree with a lot of your posts. Stay safe, Mike

    Embarassing Knife Questions

Dan, To go from sabre, retain a grip on the knife with your index finger and thumb. Now release the other three fingers and move them over the top, flipping the knife between the middle and index fingers. Collapse your grip and index the thumb over the butt to keep the knife from slipping in...

BUTTERFLY KNIVES who makes a good one?

Here I am! I'm the 'student' Brownie is refering to. I've worked (trained) with Brownie on and off since last summer and have learned some really good shtuff. This guy is the real deal and not someone full of BS. The knives are great, but sticks are more fun. But I digress... The...

All you knife enthusiats...how do you train?

Gray, Disciple, as in one who is trained in the discipline or doctrine of a teacher. My instructor has trained with both Keating and Bagwell. My carry knife is a MOD Hornet, plain edge. I am looking for a larger folder and will then move the Hornet to the left pocket. The larger folder...

All you knife enthusiats...how do you train?

I've been training with a Keating and Bagwell disciple for a couple of months. Add in some escrima sticks and it transitions into double knives. Did the long knives the other night. The only thing I have to say is, you know the saying about the more you know, the more you realize there is...

    Balancing my Highpower AR-15

Troy, The Ray-Vin A2 wedge fit my my RRA A2 stock perfectly. Some cautions are in order; when you remove the top screw on the butt plate, the rear take-down pin detent spring is released. I am willing to install it for you on a Sunday morning, if you would like. I'll also show you how to...

    Balancing my Highpower AR-15

Steve, Are you asking me where the A1 came from? If so, it came off my Colt SP1. Swapped with the A2 last month. Didn't even think about prone as we're only shooting offhand until the end of April... pausing, gets up and gets AR, slings up and get into position on living room floor. I...

    Balancing my Highpower AR-15

Troy, Steve is right on the money about the balance point (CG) being at the delta ring, as most shooters hold there with a reverse grip. That's the hold I showed you. My CG is back towards the mag well because I have not done the fine tuning to the balance. Even being off, adding the weight...
