500 Snubby
I have fired and own both the 83/4" and 4" S&W 500. Definetly 400 and up grain bullets will 'spank' you. However I really enjoy firing the 275 grain in each gun and find them to be accurate and a real 'blast'. The 83/4" barrel doesn't really get uncomfortable for me till I go beyond...
thank you all for your comments. Especially John Ross. That is sort of what I was hoping to hear. I know it is an elephant gun but figured hey, why not try it!:D
I am new to the board here and I am sure this has been asked. Anyways I am thinking of purchasing a S&W 500. From what I have read it is a hell of a gun. Depending on the load the kick is supposedly akin to a 44. Comments?

I might of missed it...but I am thinking of getting a Springfield mil spec. My question is does it bite the web of your hand when you shot it?
