]The chanber size on lone wolf barrels will fit most if not all factory loads. Really dont know for sure because i shoot cast bullets. I have purchased three Lone wolf barrels, 9MM, 10MM and 40 S&W, all three gave me problems and had to return for chamber resizing. Now 31.60 a pop. Chamber...
what I was issued years ago was full auto.
Will clean it up a little and put on gun broker or gunsamerica. Can see i need to figure out what year and model, and who made. Can see a serial number and U.S.Army on top of the receiver. Sure some where on the receiver , can find who made.
why would anyone collect M1 30 caliber carbines? Inherited one, and looked up prices on Gun broker. Considered the rifle junk when was issued one in the Army 1959 and can't believe the current prices.
Just curious, for the sake of collecting is all i can think of.
ordered a Primary arms Micro red dot , Looking forward to trying it out on the Mark I. Can't believe $20 for a mount, and $60 to drill the holes. Found the instructions how to drill and tap for a mark I, may just set up my drill press and do myself. Got scrap gun partsl will try on that...
I looked at the price for re-blue for the Mark I. Freight both ways to Ruger plus $80 is the cheapest i can find. Sure told me that my next purchase will be stainless.
Will the aimpoint or LaRue mounts fit the Primary Arms Micro Red dot? One version has a removable base like the Aimpoint H-1 or T-1, and I am hopeful that the bases are inter-changable.

yes i have been looking at the Pac-Lite and Volquartsen replacement uppers. Dummy here found a mark I 6 inch upper in Houston few days ago on Texasguntrader dot com, let it pass me by.
:) don't think anyone mentioned reloading 22 ammo. As far as new sights, after my cataract surgery I find i do better if i remove the rear sight. Without a red dot all i can do is point and shoot.
Several of the indoor ranges around fort worth area and weatherford will not allow reloads. Of course you can buy reloaded ammo from them, called re-Manufactured. Consequently I am forced to shoot 22 LR . Refused to buy ammo at gun range. Also a milage and petro thing, my club range is 40...
Simple quesiton i hope. Can't decide if i want to Sell my Ruger Mark I with 4 inch barrel and buy a Ruger Mark 3 with a 5.5 inch barrel, with the one purpose of improving accuracy. Aware of the differences with slide release and number of rounds in magazine.
Would the barrel length make...
:) no not recoil sensitive .. have sp101 357 taurus 357 608 8.25 barrel, glock 29 glock 17l. Traded couple of electric scooters from a garage sale for a 1978 Ruger mark I or could be called a standard. Four inch or so barrel. Need to shoot it one of these days. Sold my S&w 41 few years ago...
I recall barrel weights on high end target guns. Have not thought of those in 40 years. Back in the days when i thought I was a good shot. Have not improved with age. I know i sure like my 8.25 inch taurus revolver ported. What a pleasure to shoot. Just now I want to upgrade my Ruger Mark I...
I watched a video of a Ruger 22 being shot and i was amazed at the amount of end of barrel movement. It was the tapered four inch or so ruger barrel.
Would a longer barrel make much difference. I have a 8 inch 357 and the extra length tames any thing I also see a number of compensators...
Have spent hours looking at modifications to the Ruger Mark I and swear after i spend the money will wind up with what looks lke a a buckmark stainless bull barrel. Several times had myself convinced that I should buy a Pac-Lite or Volquartsen upper, and backed off. The resell value for a used...
Shocked at price of RMR sights $575. Makes waiting on Fast fire III <$250 worth while. Have a Aimpoint R-1, which has a ten year warrenty. Looking forward to comparing over the next few months, the Fastfire III . RMR and Aimpoint micro red dot.
Considering a Fast Fire III for my Glock 17L. Seems choices are available for dot size, 3,4 and 8. The larger size seems to large, currently using Aimpoint Micro Red dot with a 4 dot size. Would think that the 8 would cover most paper targets.
Comment and experience please.
I can see how replacement Glock style slides and frames will allow customization over the OEM Glock. Curious how much weight is added to say a G17 or G20?
the more i look at custom cuts, all the slides appear to NOT be Glock OEM. Slide replacement looks to be over one grand. That is way to much for my plinking at paper targets. So will give up.
