    Marlin 60 or Marlin 795

    I prefer the 795 due to mag feed as opposed to tube feed. I've owned mod 60, but always had problems with feeding rounds (I know others have had flawless ones). Mag feed is simpler and therefore more likely to be more reliable.

    336 Love

    I always wanted one. Did some research online and found complaints about the trigger, but otherwise people liked them. So, when a good sale came up, I got a new one w/ scope for $330. It's trigger is nice, so maybe I got lucky. I like it a lot, just need to find more time to shoot it.

    MARLIN 795 Review

    Anyone know how big the hollow area in butt stock is? Pics would be great! I was thinking it would be a nice inexpensive gun that could be rigged as a survival gun with some gear/ammo in the butt stock.
