Yep, I load and unload my semi-automatic handgun every day as I have to transition into "no carry" zones. Bullet set-back does occur, and can be a serious issue in .40 caliber loads.
I've never seen another Jimenez JA-NINE at the range. I like shooting it. It's cheap, unique, and gives me a chance to practice clearing stoppages. Plus, it ejects magazines with sufficient force to blacken a toenail through my sneakers (okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration). :)
