paid 800 for mine, fun gun to shoot and they look super super mean to the anti's

it seems to happen when you use the same shells for hunting season, ie turkey hunting, in the woods all day going from spot to spot, loading and unloading. ive noticed on a bunch of shells a dent towards the rim on the base, on the side. almost looks like its happening when i eject the shell.

i just got one, i havent gotten to shoot it as much as i want but so far i am pretty satisfied with it, its no M1A but its cheap and FUN. i feel the scope mount is a little cheap and hampers accuracy, not to mention every time you take it off it must throw things off abit. those black stocks...

anyone ever had their 1187 dent the base of a shell after ejecting it? both of my 11-87's do/did it, they are both older guns but i dont think the design has ever changed. just curious as to the cause and if i should worry about it?

if someone is breaking into my house, my M4gery is gonna get knocked over as my 870 pump comes outta the case each and every time, and my 870 doesnt even have a tacticool flashlight like my M4gery does. guess im just a realist...

i got the loaded rifle full size with walnut, i like the scout/socoms, but i would never look back after a few months with mine

yeah probably when i got it apart it was very rusty. i think a key to maintaining these guns is to break it down and clean that tube out with a brush every year or 2

for the record, the issue with this gun had nothing to do with the o-rings, they were changed every season. the issue ended up being the action spring in the stock losing its strength after 20 years of use.

does anyone watch the show axemen on history? they do the same horrible drama stuff on there too its insane sometimes

yes they are excellent shotguns i have 2 now and they are both from probably the early 90's and both still function well, the only reason i couldnt get into this one to fix the bad spring was that my father probably let it rsust

threw my mouse at level 9... fun but hard when your mouse sometimes wont "click"

UPDATE: took the gun to gunworks in verona ny, they cut the action spring tube down and re-threaded it. cost $70.
