" maybe choose an adjustable rear sight "
No Me. Great on revolvers but I ve had several "high quality" ones fly aparfon 1911s That is the reason Tripp and Alex Hamilton came up with a rugged one with no internal springs
The Model 16/32 played a part in the 32 MAGNUM! genesis. Dean Grennell got the ball rolling loaded the thing up to 1000 or 1200 fps, I don't remember which with the hollow-point version of the115 grain -32=20 bullet that cast out at 105 grains or so andit sounded pretty neat at the time 1960s...
I've shot a Smith 32 side by side with a vintage 38. Both were massive accurate and would no doubt meet the advertised standard of 1.5" at 50 yards. Shooting "NRA" slow-fire at 25 yards, I made prettier groups with the 38 but this might have beein an illusion because the bigger holes looked...
One gun shop wallah said that it was probably because you got More Metal! for the same price. Your reference to the python cosmetic craze probably explains it better.
It used to be a standard catalog item. Came in blue and stainless with the short lug barrel and also in 6-inch full underlug at the same price. I liked the looks and balance of the short lug while the underlug actually sold better. I've I I had one for 20 -30 ears guiltlessly shooting top-end...
Credit cards- just about universal but if the seller is not very good at processing the purchase, you may very well loose the card. One such made several attempts causing my bank to freak out and cancel/replace my card. This caused me about a day and a half intensive work replacing my online...
Al Georg used to put scopes on Everything. Used rifle scopes back then -1960s because there were no Long Eye Relief numbers. He scoped an 1858 remington and shot a black bear with it. Had to step to the side of the smoke cloud to confirm it was down. He also took to turning remington Rolling...
That might have been (?) about the time the FBI said that the 9mm with modern bullets was the ideal Instant Destroyer and Killer (IDAK) Now all of the alphabet agencies and police seem to be using them. .It's cyclical. One wag here said, "Sooner or later, they'll go back to saying, Awwww, the...
OK.... It Really DOES cost $3700 +. It looks like Smith or somebody likes flgr. I supposed the wide serrations and the smoke finish are marks of the truely refined taste that I don't have but I'm relieved that I got my Baer and plan to keep it.
The one in the picture? I still have it and the metal work and fit are perfect. The brief time it spent with the original purchaser
suggests that his wife found out about it and threw a wild-eyed fit.

In c/2006 I bought this TR SPECIAL from an owner who had not shot the recommned 500 rounds. I completed the recommend break-in and arrived at full reliability which it has demonstrated ever since. The performance and accuracy prompted me to have Baer apply Hard Chrome.
Some time ago, I got the...
The .36 Remington called New Model Navy was smaller than the .44 but the Uberti replica in that caliber is the same size as the replica 44 and holds circa 5 grain's more powder than the .36 Colts. A 28 grain charge of swiss fff g and the equivalent volume of Pyrodex P from the same measure did...
