Ever lose your cool in a shop?

The other pawnbroker offered me a price he could sell at, too. I bought the very same rifle from that man for $300, bought a bayonet online and the buttstock cleaning kit, and threw it all in when I pawned it. But the first pawnbroker didn't even want the rifle. He just wanted the bayonet.

Ever lose your cool in a shop?

The other day I had to take my Enfield into pawn for some extra income until my schedule picks back up, and I didn't want to drive two towns over to get the money(the whole cost of fuel vs. value battle) so Dad and I decided to give a closer, local pawn shop our business. Now, I bought this...

    Breech loading .410?

My dad had a real old Mossberg Bolt-action .410 awhile back. Wasn't a single shot(2+1), but when we picked that one up, we DID pass up a bolt-action single-shot .410 for that. Food for thought.

How Common is Rim Lock in Bolt Actions?

I've only had rimlock happen in my Enfield when I had a brainfart and loaded the stripper clip in upside down.

    obscure calibers??

I had a French service handgun from WWII(Never fired, only dropped once....) that was in 7.65 Longue. Let it go because at the time, I couldn't reload, and ammo was $70 a box for 50. Too rich for my blood.

    Which Cheap Shotgun?

oddly enough, mine uses a Rem-choke. At least that's what I have in it and it works just fine.

    Pardner Pump Protector Questions

I just have a regular Pardner Pump with an 18.5" barrel, and mine allows the use of screw-in Remington Chokes. Never had a problem with it. It gets neglected, abused, dragged up and down creekbeds, throughout the woods, and it. will. go. bang. everytime. Alot of accessories for the Remington...

    Rifles for the recoil sensitive?

@ BrocLuno - Yes, We're planning on getting a much more than just one rifle. But, he loves his AR platform, so I figured I'd do the legwork for him and find information on a few that are good against hogs. My personal wish list involves an M1A, M1 Carbine, 1911, something in 10mm, and a few...

    Which Cheap Shotgun?

+1 for the Pardner Pump. Mine's actually laying across my lap as I type this. I picked it up used for $98 lock, stock, and barrel(Pun may or may not be intended. Check local regulations.) At that price, I figured, why not? I gave it the Tacticool treatment, just because I could. Door...

    Rifles for the recoil sensitive?

as for the Mercury recoil reducer, short answer is no. long answer is "I DON'T WANNA MESS WITH NO MERCURY..." blah blah blah. Sometimes dad really can be an old coot about things. He really seems to have taken a shining to the 6.8SPC. Prices are on-par with a low-end AR-10 or a mid-range...

    Rifles for the recoil sensitive?

hmm...I like the sound of that 6.8SPC. Sounds like a real good median cartridge in between .223 and .308.

    Rifles for the recoil sensitive?

Those who've noticed my posts will know that Me and my Father are waiting on a rather large inheritance, and we're looking to expand on our collection. Invest in Gold, Silver, Brass, and Lead. :D My dad wants to start proactively hunting Hogs, but it's a bit difficult to do with his...

    Doublestack 10mm that ISN'T a Glock?

I'm leaning more towards the Witness now more than ever. Allow me to explain the situation. My Grandfather had passed away recently, leaving both myself and my father with A HUGE amount of Exxon stocks. While things are getting taken care of by the Lawyers, I'm stuck here with the realization...

    Doublestack 10mm that ISN'T a Glock?

that goes without saying. I'd just like to carry it into the woods with a magful of the hot stuff when I go hunting, so for whatever reason if I end up on the wrong side of an angry, wounded boar, I'll have something that'll drop it quick. Looks like my eyes are set on a nice new Witness...

    Doublestack 10mm that ISN'T a Glock?

How does it handle the recoil? One would imagine with that much steel it'd just soak up the recoil. Do you know if it can handle the full power 10mm Rounds(A reloading set is on my wishlist to Santy Claws)?

    Doublestack 10mm that ISN'T a Glock?

So, in an effort to diversify my collection, and earmark some of my inheritance I'm to be receiving as soon as it becomes released to me, I would like to purchase a 10mm handgun. Price isn't necessarily a concern for this, but I'd prefer to stay around $700 total. New or Used isn't a big concern...

    S&W sigma 9mm

My dad has one. I've shot it some, not too bad. The trigger's bad, it's blocky like a Glock, but it'll go bang every time, even on ammo my own 9mm won't digest. It's been my best method of disposing of dud rounds and FTFs. And the price can't be beat, either. I picked it up for my dad awhile...

    All around budget shotgun.

+1 for the NEF Pardner Pump. I got mine secondhand for $98 OTD, then spent easily more than that making it "Tacticool" with 870 parts, just because I could. With my handgun in for repairs, it now sits bedside. Really, I couldn't say enough nice things about this cheap little shotgun. Only...
