I am interested in acquireing a 22 conversion for my springfield improved government 45. I am interested in the personal experences of the members here.
Jennings 25.
It was a POS but it was all my friend could afford. A couple of us work on it a bit. It would run, mostly, with winchester. That jennings POS may well have saved her life. It fired ONE time. The gentleman robbing her, decided that her purse was enough, after all and ran away. We...
I have put 5K (10K?) through my stock CX-75B shooting plates & other things. I have had 2 fails to fire. Both of them had dents in the primers. I have had several fail to extracts. I also blame the ammunition for those as well. It points and shoots where I want it to. I have my GP100 under my...
I have a different spin on the whole thing. In my book your buddy won. Yes it sucks he died too but he got the job done. If it happens to me I hope and PRAY I can do as well. Your friend has saved the lifes of others and no man can do more than that.
I've put at least 2k per year through my GP100 since 1990. Most of that has been moderate 38's shooting plates & targets. I think I have gotten it broke in. Give me anouther twenty years and I will let you know.
Anyone who shot up a gp100 frame in 20K has been doing something very strange.
Easy answer for me. Put a pissed off large bear and you in the sme place at the same time. Now which pistol do you want? A dead reliable ruger 44 mag or any glock?
Has anyone here carried a compact revolver in a holster in the small of the back that goes inside the belt and pants?
I was out shooting in a very muddy area. I needed to set my pistol down to deal with something else. I found my self tucking the pistol into the back of my pants. It rode...
Pistol age
I have been given reason to believe the pistol was a private purchase from Colt in 1913. This pistol is not and will never be for sale. What I am looking for is a good reference work on the early colt 45s. I now own a current edition springfield. As a shooter it is much better than...
My brother was given an OLD colt 45. The serial number on the pistol is 23,337. This would indicate a 1913 mfg date. The pistol says Model C on it. When we fired the pistol the slide did not lock back after the last round.
My question is this : Is the 1913 full size model C colt 45 semi auto...
I am looking for some information on the date of mfg for a colt 45 pistol.
It states it is a model C on the side plate. If I remember correctly the serial number is 23337. The pistol has three patented dates on the side 1906, 1908 and 1911
Your hands your choise
If you guy are selling a stainless six inch gp100 with adjustable sights please let me know.
I love mine and would not mind picking up anouther one to keep in the truck. (yes I have a lock box in the truck). I seem to be able to put lead on target further back with...
My grandfather was a itinerant country bucher. One christmass I gave him a 100 round box of the CCI minimag HP. For the next few years he used that box up shooting cattle with a bolt action rifle. There were no misfires and only one cow took a second shot. The cow that took a second shot was a...
As in serial numbers.
How many of us do not have a list of the model numbers and serial numbers for every firearm you own?
How many of us do not have a picture of every firearm we own.
How many of us have both files stored somewhere “offsite”.
I won’t go into the details but I am going to...
