    Question re: Potential ban

Shooting4life makes a good point. I believe that the regulation of ammunition will be the next pathway to disarmament chosen by those who would deny our rights.

    Residents Don't Like Scout's Range

I would guess that Zundfolge is correct in stating that the complaints are motivated more by a dislike for the BSA as a whole than the noise. Those who would dismiss that possibility as being merely "homophobic" are wearing blinders. As it should be in any free society, the BSA as an...

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

    a. J-frame Airweight .38 Special b. 2" barrel c. Round butt d. fixed sights f. 1043XX...no letter anywhere in the serial number. I'm pretty sure this gun is pre-1957. There is no model number in the yoke cut.

Minneapolis firefighter charged in man's death

We know VERY few actual facts. All this is little more than wild speculation; certainly nothing to get so worked up over.

    Who's Kel-Tec P-3AT has been 100%

I have a 1st generation P3AT that has functioned flawlessly. However, I have only fired 250 rounds through it.

Comments wanted on a new poster (NSFW?)

I've had many left-leaning friends over the years comment that men who carry/collect/enjoy firearms are compensating for other "shortcomings". I think this poster will just add fuel to that fire. And as an aside, I find it amusing that those who like the poster have resorted to name calling...

    Slow-motion video of S&W Kaboom

I think it is real... If you'll notice the web address on the bottom of the video (www.kurzzeit.com), it is company that specializes in "Ballistic measuring technique, high-speed measuring systems, light barriers, high-speed photography systems, quiet and video High speed cameras, industry...

    Possible Third Party Strategy?

If these "third parties" are to have any chance at all, they must start by running candidates in state and local elections. Maybe field a candidate for the U.S. House. Throwing all their money and effort behind a candidate for President or even for a Senate seat is a waste. It will never...

    Did Taurus ever make this?

I own a Taurus Model 606 .357 with a 2" barrel. It was factory ported by Taurus. My understanding is that for some time they ported all handguns, no matter the caliber or barrel length. I used this gun to qualify for my concealed carry permit. The ports did help with muzzle flip, but the...

What happens when ammunition is burned in fire?

I appreciate the job that firefighters do, and I thank you for your service. But for you to degrade volunteer firefighters as being "overweight", and worse, "drunk" is just plain wrong. :fire: They also risk their lives, and for no pay.

:what: :neener: I'm sorry, but that is funny. You gotta love kids. JNewell is right on all points as far as I can tell. Good luck.

    Ket-Tec 380

I have a first generation P3AT (hard chromed). I love it. It disappears in my front pocket and has been 100% reliable thus far, even with the few "hot" Cor-Bons I have fired. I still carry my J frame as my primary carry weapon only because I feel revolvers are better carry guns. Nothing...

new toy, did i get hosed?

I can't tell you the value of your gun, and I don't believe that I would have paid $400 for it. But my attitude towards guns has always been if I paid $400 for it and I get $400 worth of enjoyment from owning and shooting it, then I'm happy, no matter the actual monetary value. :)
