Bump and info, for anyone else that may ever run across one like it.
I actually spoke to a president of the taurus usa line, and he explained that from 2000 on most of his employees don't have any real access or knowledge of the older discontinued models, but the info he had on hand verified...
As for the pics thank my old blackberry cell phone. It refuses to die while all my digital cameras have bit the dust. That phone is possessed I say its evil and refuses to die. Anyways thanks again.
Well darn weregunner, as much as I like pieces of history and collectibles I was gonna use it for edc and a nightstand gun as I like my berettas and taurus 92/96/100/101/etc series since having them in and out of the military, but if I can't get mags and such it doesn't seem to be a viable...
So it is what it is, that's all the info I have.
It is a 40 cal pt940 fired and tested and cleaned.
It is a 9+1 when loaded and chambered.
It is Identical to the pt100 and pt92 in design for takedown and assembly,
as I have hadmy fair share as well as the beretta variants.
So now can...
More Pics.
Pic 1 in this series is the singlestack magwell opening.
pic 2 in this series is the clearly marked although hard to see from my blackberry pics pt940 slide.
pic 3 here is just to show the mag inserted.
Well I just took the pics and am just sending them to my email now, when I was on the phone with taurus customer service the first time and gave the serial # they said oh it looks like you have a taurus pt940 made in 1995, so thats where the 95 date came from, and as for any other possibilities...
Now keep in mind this gun was made in 1995.
It is a 9 shot single stack 40 cal, I will post pics today.
And the mag is not a 9 mil mag since it was new in the
package labeled for a 940 40 cal 9 rounds.
And I've talked to several magazine suppliers that know
Of this model taurus but could...
Okay hoping for some great responses and help.
Just acquired a taurus pt 940. The gun is nice,
great shape, fun to shoot.
Now I know it is a slimmed down version of the
pt92/ pt100 series which is the taurus made
beretta 92/96since they bought the patent to it
all those years ago if I...
Yes, excellent deal.
Wish he was my friend at that price. :banghead:
Cheapest I have been able to find in my area has been $250.
Buy it and then get him a beer for being such a good friend.
Very jealous, treat her right and she will respond without fail.
Only failures I have ever had with all mine have been due to crap ammo.
Nice Find for you.:D
Just get the paypal master card, the no gun stuff rules don't apply then as it is run as a mastercard. Mastercard has no problems with guns or ammo. :D
Cheaper than dirt has a deals on 12 gauge ammo, 250 rounds for less than $100, 00 buck and 00 buck low recoil. Plenty more just thought I would throw that one out there. That'd be nice, and I'm sure he would like a chunk of ammo for his new toy, of course. Lucky man, care to give our wives...
