Arkansas CCW - Question concerning prior arrest w/o charge...

Thanks, tyeo098. I've read that and know that I'm eligible, I was just curious if anybody had dealt with something similar and had advice for smoother navigating that road. But I suppose the law is the law and shall issue means just that, and is the qualifying piece. Thanks again.

Arkansas CCW - Question concerning prior arrest w/o charge...

In February of this year I was arrested in California on suspicion of selling a controlled substance. I wasn't, and the charges were never filed and that was the end of it. However, I had a detective do a criminal background check and the arrest still shows without a disposition. My...

    Ammo Purchasing Question

I don't believe any big box retailers have limits on ammo purchases. If I'm correct, then those comments and perceptions are those only of the employees. I also don't know that Walmart or whoever you are referring to would allow even management-level employees to make a call on whether your...

    what gun is this?

It indicates a change or addition to the model. This guide (below) didn't say what change the 64-4 included, but may be helpful nonetheless. One of the other guys may be able to say specifically what -4 represented. Good luck. http://www.handloads.com/misc/Smith.Model.Changes.asp

    Check this out

The suicide statistic says that teenagers who live in households that own a gun are twice as likely to commit suicide. I have to wonder if that statistic is altered from "twice as likely to commit suicide with a gun." However, even if accurate as is, the statistic only shows that guns...

    What would you do

Just call the police and say you'd like to report what you believe to be a felon in possession of a firearm. You can do this anonymously; I've called on suspicious things before, and they usually give you the option to remain anonymous. Just give them the story as it's been presented to...

Changing my cleaning method for my CCW

I generally only clean my Glock after about 500 rounds or if it's been sitting awhile, and even that's just a basic tear down and wipe down as it never seems to really need it. I'll only detail strip it after a couple thousand rounds and a trip to the desert during which I'm pretty rough on it...

    That Third Gun

A .22 is always a great caliber to have, especially in a rifle. My Remington 550 has been in the family since it was new in the early-60s, and it is both fun and practical. I would have a tough time choosing between a .22 rifle and a shotgun. But as others have said, without context it is...

    Molly.

Tough break. My lab is a little past 9 now, and she's starting to show the signs of aging. Sorry for your loss. S&W 686-4...at least she had good taste.

    SOG Customer Service.

I've always wondered about SOG products. It's good to know that they will provide good service, even beyond their stated coverage.

    Tire Thumper?

California, if anywhere, is a great place to have the law arbitrarily passed and applied. It is in the shape it is for a reason...

    Do you use a lanyard?

I have one and have used it occasionally when riding through rough country. Small tool that does much for some peace of mind.

    Melted my Glock 22

I like it on both. I would like to see more pictures as well - perhaps from the front and back, looking down the barrel. Like the above poster, I like the sub-compact look, so this is pretty sweet. Any thoughts of posting a "how to" guide? Good work.

Do you bring tools to the range?

I keep a screw driver, pliers and some punches in my bag. Been of great help several times.

I believe they are the same style. As for which is better quality - if there is any disparity at all - I couldn't say.

Northwest Arkansas/Los Angeles, CA Northwest Arkansas/Los Angeles, CA, here! I doubt any of us here would turn down an offer to hit the range or the woods and have a blast. The offer is serious, so keep this list for your travels. Good luck!

Whats your age group, and what do you carry?

    23. Glock 19 (+2 extensions) in a Galco Miami Classic. Relatively small and light for the firepower.
