Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56

I'm not too overly concerned with weight, it's not going on a gun that I will be stalking antelope with. I figure for a hair over $1500, I can't really go wrong with it. Especially with people saying that even at its $2500 street price it's one of the best things going.

Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56

I'm finding the Steiner for just a little less than $3k. The Vortex also has 10 mils more internal elevation adjustment. For the price (sub $2k) that I can get the Razor for, I'm not sure I will find anything reasonably comparable.

Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56

Are those Vortex/Seekins rings on the second rifle taliv? If so, what height are they? My 6.5 SLR is being finished up here in the next 2 weeks or so. If I get that Razor I was thinking of putting it in Seekins rings. Anything that you dislike about the scope, taliv? And what reticle are you...

Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56

Howdy, I've got a chance to upgrade from a PST to the Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 for a great price and was wondering what some Gen II owners think of the scope now that it has been available for a little bit. It seems like on top of it being an extremely durable and well made scope that the...

What's your expectation when you buy a rifle with an accuracy guarantee?

It really isn't that difficult, if you beat around the bush most will never get the picture of what you are trying to say. I just tell them as politely as I can that the gun is shooting fine and we'll within what is to be expected, and provide them with a target that I, personally, shot. When...

    Rangefinders

Do you bow hunt? I always range close objects to get an idea for how far a shot will be. 10 yards, 15 yards, 20 yards, doesn't matter. I still like to know exactly how far my shot is going to be.

    Rangefinders

He is bow hunting, and the minimum range on the Leica is 20 yards.... I love Leica rangefinders, for long range they will run circles around the Leupolds. But this is one time when they aren't the best choice.

    Rangefinders

Then definitely not the Leica. It's minimum range is something like 20 yards. The Leupold 1000i would work just fine.

Better HD option then Bennelli m4?

Mossberg's "warranty" is as good as their QC. I have no reason to trust that they could fix a gun properly when they ship my shotgun with a 1/2 dent in the magazine tube... After I got it back then I would have had to pay to ship it straight back to have them attempt to fix the shell stop...

    More Than Just A Stock

It's much faster to transition from an AR to your pistol if your pistol is in a holster... I'm sure a couple of those stocks will sell, but IMO, they're absolutely useless.

Better HD option then Bennelli m4?

This couldn't be more false... I shoot a JM930 in competition because I couldn't afford a Benelli. The only the that a Mossberg will run back to Italy is your sanity. Competition ready out of the box? Nowhere close. It took one of my sponsors about 30 hours of work to get it running 95%. I...

Better HD option then Bennelli m4?

You do realize the Benelli M4 is a shotgun and not a rifle, right? It's in the correct sub-forum, but your post is making me think you could be a tad confused.

    AR Muzzle Brake's, Which One?

I've tested quite a few for 3 gun, and I keep coming back to Lantac and Surefire. Both great brakes.

    260 slr

You mean the 6.5 SLR? I've got my rifle at the gunsmith currently being chambered for it. So far, forming brass is easy. Using winchester .243 brass I just run it through the sizing die. Some cases come out with a donut in the neck and will need to have the necks turned, but most don't. 308...

    M1 Garand brass questions..

My Garand is the only .30-06 that I own, and I load it with Winchester brass. I have a lot of it laying around, and it does the job just fine.
