    Next Year

    I guess I'm maturing in my age. I've actually decided to show patience and wait until next year on another pistol. I'm really thinking a red dot is the way to go. I'm betting there will be more pistols in the new year that allow for red dots, especially after Shot Show. Anyone agree?

    Is a J frame enough?

    I've owned several 9mms that were my carry guns. But ultimately, I gave them up for the extra reliability of a j-frame. I also like the craftsmanship of revolvers.

    Savage hog hunter or Ruger Gunsight Scout?

    I've owned a Savage 308 and now I own a RGS and love it. I'm still working on loads and it looks like the Ruger will be plenty accurate.

    They are the .22 equivalent of an AK. If I had to choose a .22 survival rifle, would pick mine over the crappy 10/22 I recently bought.

    Put my first 200 rounds through it today. Not a single problem. I'm going to leave it alone.

    Just noticed my brand new Sig SP 2022 has a slight dent in the slide where the logo is stamped. I doubt this affects the pistol's operation, still it bugs me. Would you send it back?

    The only rifle that you could take.

    I bought a Ruger Scout for essentially the same purpose—one rifle for all needs if it should ever come to that. I don't think the AR in 223/5.56 is enough rifle for hunting. 308 is better.
