9mm, 9x21, 9x23, .38 super, are not all that hard to convert the tokarev and cz-52's to. With enough machining anything is possible, but you will need much more than a barrel change to get the .357sig, or 9x25 Dillon in there. Overall length on the Dillon may also be an issue.
I sometimes have to go quite a ways for coyote, and well the AR with the full .920 bull on it does not go on those hikes. Just got an American in .22-250 so we shall see how it does.
I really like mine it is a 9mm and came with a .22lr conversion. I picked it up used for $400. I have never had a single malfunction with mine, but I have also heard horror stories of the customer service department. If it is the large frame you can get all kinds of uppers for it to change the...
iirc the mosin's are sighted in for 300m. There is a member here who makes quite a few custom sight options for mosins. Perhaps another member that swings by will remember his username.
Unless my un-caffeinated mind betrays me your first two problems are not since he has two barrels and the bores will always line up with their correct barrel with only 5 cuts in the cylinder.
I read a thread on rugerforum.com that a member received an e-mail response from Ruger CS asking that very question. Their reply was that the Ten has the same barrel as the convertible.
You will get different answers depending on your area. Where I live, I use the .22LR most often between 75-120yds on ground squirrel (vermin eradication), if hunting tree squirrel the ranges would likely be much shorter.
unless you are a competitive shooter you very likely will not ever put enough rounds of any type of commercial ammunition down your 9mm barrel to wear it out.
8mm mauser = .323 projectile (unless it was really old then .318 I think???)
30'06 = .308 projectile
.015 difference. I get that it can drastically increase pressure, but there has been a 6.5 arisaka chambered for .30'06 without a new bore. Thats a .308 slipping down to a bore designed to fire...
Hummer70,
Just curious where you got your pressure figures. I would like to read up on thoses tests. 90000psi seems very high for only 15 thousandths of swaging down. I am not a physicist so I am not saying you are wrong I would just enjoy reading the test.
