    Ruger Blackhawk Q

My 4 5/8".45 Convertible is my favorite single action. Also mine has a very good trigger.:)

Some pics of my new S&W 15-2!

Very nice. The model 15 is one of my favorite revolvers although mine shows a bit more wear than yours. :)

    Rock Island 1911

My RIA Tactical was a bit stiff with occasional fails to feed and eject at first but with some shooting and a little tweaking of the extractor it runs like a charm now and feeds most any decent ammo. It's not a Colt but it sure aint bad especially considering it modest price tag. :)

45 Long Colt vs 44 mag

I love the .45 Colt caliber for use in my Ruger Blackhawks with loads both mild and wild, BUT, finding ammo is pretty hard in most places and what is out there is pretty anemic.. If you're a hand loader it's not a big problem but to be honest, the .44 mag just might be a better choice for most...

    Your opinion please

Mine is a lowly older model 10 .38Sp. Easy to shoot and control and stoked with +P158gr LSWCHPs, it's nothing to be sneezed at. :)

Flipflopping from Autos to Revolvers, and Back Again?

I carry either one according to where I'm going or what I'm wearing. Sometime it boils down to what closest when I leave the house. I've had people chide me for switching back and forth citing familiarity with one type is best. I don't buy that argument. I know how my guns work. :)

Rock Island Armory worth buying as 1st 1911?

Another vote for the RIA Tactical. Mine after a few initial FTE runs fine now. :)

    Taurus Snubbies

My only experience with a Taurus snubby has been with this little steel frame model 85. It's been a darn good gun. The action is very smooth and it shoots where I point it. :)

What is your primary carry gun choice ?

Although I do carry other guns at times, my main carry gun is a Ruger P97 .45 auto. Fairly light for caliber, conceals fairly well, accurate, and it works every time. :)

    Favorite Ruger?

The MKII .22 is a lot of fun gun but my favorite is this P97 that goes along with me most days. :)

To frange or not to frange?

I would never use them either. I remember John Linbaugh mentioning not using a bullet that would go to pieces on a bad guys belt buckle. :uhoh:

I put this gun on layaway, and I know nothing about it

I think $129.99 is a right fair price for that little .22. :)

Do You Carry A Revolver Exclusively?

Although my main carry gun is an auto, at times this old S&W model 10 loaded with 158 gr LSWCHP goes with me.:)

Poll: What is your favorite handgun manufacturer?

I have a thing for Ruger single action revolvers but also like the older S&Ws and various other brands of autos. I just like guns.:D

Favorite Ruger single action grip / style

I have fairly large hands and the X3 Red on my NM Blackhawks work best for me even with the heavier loads. The small grips on my New Vaquero tends to whack my knuckle unless I get the gun situated exactly right.

    Hi-Point stress test

My eyes are getting older and I don't see as well as when younger but in all truth, to me, a lot of the higher dollar autos aint much if any prettier than a Highpoint pistol  :)

    Taurus 85 Ultra-Lite .38 Spl+P 2" Snubbie

I bought a few boxes of the 125 gr Rem Golden Sabers a few yrs ago for carry in my steel frame 85. The ones I've shot for test purposes worked fine so I'm still using them for carry ammo. :)
