If the rifle is only considered accurate to 200 yards you don't really need a scope, but if you do zero the irons out to 100 yards and use high mounts so you can see the sights and then zero the scope out to 200 yards just my two cents

yada yada lead bad copper good. there is a reason lead is being used instead of the rest of the 92 odd other metals: its cheap, reliable, heavy and time tested. there is a reason that a .50 bmg can throw a 750 gr bullet at 2,820 ft/s its the weight. no expert but wikipedia helps btw .357...
