    Undersized 5.56 shoulder

Sizing die is setup correctly as previously stated. I even tried to push the shoulder down to see if I could push the shoulder out, but I bottomed the die out and it did not fix the shoulder. This is not something I did to the brass. It came this way. I've reloaded 15,000+ rounds and figured...

    Undersized 5.56 shoulder

I checked the unprocessed brass from the same batch that I have not sized yet and they're the same undersized diameter at the shoulder. The gun has not been re chambered and has zero issues with the lapua and LC brass I put through it. This issue isn't something I have caused...I'm just trying...

    Undersized 5.56 shoulder

The shoulder is .01" undersized, not oversized. It's chambering but going too far in as it's not headspacing off of the shoulder. I also checked brass from the same lot that I have not processed yet, and it's also .01" undersized at the shoulder. This is not a matter of me incorrectly sizing...

    Undersized 5.56 shoulder

Bought 1k of once fired winchester 5.56 brass, prepped it, loaded it, checked OAL, overall ogive length, etc...all good, and took it to the range yesterday. None of the rounds (tried five or so) would fire and the bolt would lock up and need mortar'd to open. Seemed like a headspace issue, but I...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Ordered .45 230gr RN "seconds" from Rock Mountain two weeks ago and got them on Friday. They all appear to be flawless and have zero blemishes. Very satisfied.

Spray on Lube problems and cracked casings

I've had zero problems with 223 and 300blk using One Shot. Are you sure that you're using the sizing One Shot, and not the tooling or gun part One Shot? The sizing lube should be a red can, whereas the other two are white and then black.

    LNL new primer system ...Help

I've loaded roughly 10,000 rounds on my new style LNL, without any issues not caused by me. The only time I've had a problem with it is if it gets dirty and crap gets inside, keeping it from retracting all the way. As long as you keep it clean, it should work flawlessly for you. I will never...

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

If you can find them, check out the Barnes 110gr black tips. They feed extremely well and are very nice bullets. Guys are having great results hunting large hogs with them, and ate loving the bullets. They're sold out almost everywhere right now, but you can find them loaded in the Barnes 300blk...

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

Nikdfish - I ordered a new one from them today and am calling tomorrow to discuss my current die with them and the .308 neck turning pilot as well. If they replace it great, but I plan on shooting a bunch this weekend, so I wanted to get a replacement to use while they are sorting out what to do...

    blem bullets for sale midwayusa.com

I paid $11 to ship 500 150gr .30 on my first of two orders last night (went back and ordered more later). They use flat rate shipping boxes for some things, which is generally a good deal. Midway is also a better deal when you use the always active ar15.com discount codes

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

The issue is the short neck from the Forster die, not the longer necks from the factory primed and lee die. The factory primed and lee brass are both the same size as all of my factory 300blk rounds.

    Hornady case trimmer issue

I also use my LNL trimmer with my dewalt impact. Works extremely well and I can get through hundreds of cases an hour without an issue. They are all +/- .001, which is fine with me.

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

Yes, both fit into the chamber with no problem. The lee sizing die I have puts out brass like the factory primed.

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

Thanks for the quick replies. The Forster die is touching the shell plate, so it's not a matter of it being up too high. I've never had this happen with any other sizing dies, Forster included. I've checked and rechecked the die setup.

    Hornady case trimmer issue

Sorry for not getting back sooner, it's been a crazy month or two. I tried with the .45 holder and was getting the same results as before. I ended up taking apart the shell holder side again and took a closer look at the rubber o-ring under the locking collar piece. The o-ring was not even...

300blk sizing issue (forster die problem?)

Greetings- I recently picked up a new 300blk Forster full length bench rest sizing die, as I was unhappy with the lee sizing die I have been using the last six months or so. After trimming the Forster sized brass down to .360, I noticed the necks look much shorter than those from the lee die...

    Hornady case trimmer issue

Oh, I want to also mention that when I swap cutting heads with an RCBS 3-way cutter, I still get the uneven cut in the same spot. It's actually MORE noticeable with the 3-way, as the outer deburring blade cuts much further into the high side (I think...it might be the low side)

    Hornady case trimmer issue

Thanks for the quick reply. It's a 223 holder, but I trim 300blk with it as well. I've tried the rotating thing before, and it does continue to move 'around the clock' if you will. The brass is definitely seated correctly in the holder, so I am guessing your theory of the shell holder being the...
