As with most folks, i polish after firing so its easier on the dies. And if i have a batch of brass that had been resized and has tarnished a bit, i will throw them in the tumbler for a couple hours before loading them.

Frogo207, the grand slam bullet is made by Speer, anyway, I too took a doe this year with my own reload. I was more excited with the shot than getting my first deer of the season.

In my experience, I find Ramshot Big Game works very good for my TC Encore in 7mm-08, if you can find some. It should also do well in 30-06 and 243. Also the Nosler manual is a good source to pick powders for any given caliber with their "best powder tested" notations.
