Looking for a new pistol. Just bought the ruger sr9c 3 months ago, loved every minute of shooting it and I am ready for something a bit larger than 9mm at this point. Maybe a 45 acp. Yeah im talking 1911. Such an amazing looking gun needs to be in my collection.
my budget is under $800...
I have been to a few local shops and asked this question myself before. What is the best gun for apartment use. (I live in a one bedroom apartment. i.e. poor college student) and the first words out of every single one of their mouths were get a shotgun. You can find this on many forums too...
I can answer a few questions. I want this gun for target shooting and just having fun with. Carry maybe down the road but here in Charlotte, NC it takes like 6 months to get your concealed carry. And im a college baseball player who doesnt have the time to worry about going to a cc class right...
I have a budget of $550. Trying to buy cheap to save for ammo. I think i have stumbled upon 2 good guns.
Ruger sr9c- Cheap ammo. Love the design. feels great in the hand. could conceal carry it someday. only $419.

Burk, I am a bit baffled by what the LEOs have found. But it seems to me like its a pretty niche thing. Especially since this is happening (from what i have found) to a very small group of people in a small amount of time. I.E. 6 People in about 15 days on 1 forum by a bunch of glock lovers...
I don't understand how Spraying rounds all over the place is even a possibility. It sounds to me like this was a made up bump on the M&P9c. Does anyone have an explanation as to why any handgun would "Spray rounds all over the place". It would be the shooters fault. But im seriously doubting...
Quite simply which handgun should i buy.
The Ruger SR9c or the Smith and Wesson M&P9c
A simple answer will suffice, but if you want to add more then I will listen to what anyone has to say intently.
