    Beretta 71. Definitely.

    338 Lapua cost of ownership

Heck - why not a Cheytac? Or a 50BMG. We're all grown up here. If we want something, and we've earned the $$ to pay for it - why not? A plane ticket out west to shoot it once a year is just part of the "cost of ownership."

    DC Carry ruling... finally

The two aren't mutually exclusive. Trial on one doesn't preclude trial on the other. Double jeopardy doesn't apply to a federal prosecution following a state prosecution on the same offense. You could get convicted of both...

    any THRers into ham radio?

K0RX. Been a ham since 1973 - I guess that's 41 years now. Time flies... DXer, contester, APRS developer, JOTA (K0A), etc... lots of fun over the years. Kind of like shooting - at different times of my life I've been interested in different aspects of the hobby. Its all fun, though!

Tumble Lube buildup in seating die

Dillon sells seating/crimp dies with removable inserts. You can pop out the seating stem and clean it without modifying the settings. Pop it back in, insert the retaining clip, and you are ready to go.

question about my AR lower and the potential ban

Borrow a friend's upper and put it on your lower for five minutes. Poof, you've assembled your "assault weapon." If your friend's upper happens to be a pistol upper, leave the stock assembly off the receiver extension on your lower, add the upper, and poof, you've assembled an AR-15 pistol...

    Glock: Your Experience By Caliber

I own 3 Glocks - models 21, 30, and 36. The 21 has some aftermarket competition parts swapped in, the 30 and 36 are stock. Never had a problem with any of them. Both the 30 and 36 make great carry guns. Dave

My Eyes Aint What They Used To Be.

I spent some time a while back trying to understand why focusing on the front sight works so well. I'm not a mechanical engineer, so this is FWIW... When we aim a handgun, we are trying to align the barrel to hit the target by controlling its motion. In principle, there are six kinds of...

My Eyes Aint What They Used To Be.

Focus on the Front Sight. Target will be blurry, rear sight will be blurry, and you will hit what you are aiming at. From another bifocal wearer... Dave

    Walther PPK/S?

I recently bought a new S&W 380 stainless PPK. Some of the guys on the Walther forum are quite opposed to the S&W product, but I was favorably impressed with mine. I also bought a S&W BG380 near the same time, and wrote a thread comparing these two handguns, including some ballistic data...
