Anything better for me than a Kahr K9?

K9 is a fine choice. You pretty much summed it up well. The only other negative I can think of is it can be heavy for some as a carry piece. If you look around there are great deals on used NYPD trade ins.

From a First-time Buyer: Need Ideas for an Affordable Handgun

Atlbis, my comment about .380 ACP being snappier is the felt recoil in subcompact mouse guns like an LCP vs 9mm. I'm aware it's a smaller and slower round. I own both. This is why a .380 is not a range gun. The triggers are usually horrible and they aren't fun shooters. They are what they are, a...

From a First-time Buyer: Need Ideas for an Affordable Handgun

.380 ACP is not a fun range shooter. It is actually quite snappier than 9mm. My suggestion is to look at the M&P Shield. I would recommend you find a range that you can rent the gun and try it before you buy. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

    Why the hate for LCI

It's hideous looking on the LC9 and you should never rely on a cheap piece of metal to verify if a gun is loaded or not.

    Sub-compact 9mm

I had an LC9 but I sold it for a Shield. The Shield is everything the LC9 should have been. Much better trigger and no goofy LCI or mag release safety.

Would you send this gun back? (pic)

Well I hope for the money you are spending they replace it and not buff it out with a blemish still there.

I spent over $600 this month on ammo

My first range visit with my M&P22 was filled with numerous FTF and FTE using American Eagle 40 grain bulk ammo  I received advice on the S&W forums to run 500 rounds of CCI mini mags through it first so hopefully they will be flawless followed by other cheaper ammo.

Best price right now on a PPQ?

Anything under $500 is a steal.
