    New P89

Nice! I love my P-89, the only thing I might suggest is a set of houge rubber wrap-around grips. They made it feel like a whole new gun. Amazing the difference.

    Okay, a Smith photo thread...

Just my two Smith's. One is a Model 586, and the other is a "slightly" modified model 10. Both have Houge Monogrips, And have seen a lot of rounds. The Model 10 was customed made by my grandfather.

You know what they say about guys with little hands.......

I would try Pachmayr. I have large hands and can't stand them because they are so small in my hand. They are very nice grips though, and I know a lot of people that swear by them.

    Ruger P89 opions

My first to Not my first handgun, but my first semi-auto. It is truly a tank, everything I try and put through it fires without problem. I have found it to not be terribly accurate. At 25 yards I can hit all center mass, but not much better than that. I think it is a good choice, but would...

Can I ask a dumb question?

If you pratice chambering a round when you draw, you can get good at it. It takes a lots of pratice, and you have to pratice it for each position you carry in. With the glocks and other DAO triggers, they have a stout trigger pull, which in turn makes it difficult to snag it and have it...

    Pistols for a southpaw?

This Lefty uses a Ruger P89. Very nice with the ambi-safety, and mag release. Also feeds eveything I can put in it. Also, I learned very young growing up in a lefty family how to release a slide with my trigger finger. With a little pratice it becomes like second nature. Now, I have...

    9mm vs 40sw for comp.

.45 ACP I like the .45. Bigger the bullet, bigger the hole. Eaiser to break the next line up.

Beretta - Pulling the slide off

I don't think it is possible. I have NEVER been able to get the slide off of a Beratta when the magazine was installed. Unless there is some trick that I don't know about.

If the P7 is so great then...

From what I understand, H&K still makes them quite a bit. The problem is only a couple hundred are "imported" a year though. That is where the rarity comes from.

    HK P7M8 - I want one.....I think

I want one too, but I can't figure out why?!?

    Desert Eagle Question

buy the ten inch barrel and put the scope on that. Better for hunting anyway. Kepp the standard sights on the 6". Or, better yet, if you can find one, get the old 14" barrel. It looks kind of silly, but makes it extremley more accurate.

    Needs a safety

I will have to put another vote in for the P7M8. Nice, compact, and you have to be squeezing the grip to get it to fire. Only down side is the price.

    HK P7 ..still being imported/made?

I have never had a problem locating a p7m8, whether used or new. Now the m13, and m10(.40 version), are another story, along with the PSP. I have yet to find either of them anywhere here in southern Michigan, even though I haven't intensely searched.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

    My "Pistol Wallpaper Page"

Thank you very much. I have been looking for some good pics of the p7's for wallpaper, especially the m10. Very excellent:D

    Method for releasing a slide...

I use the slide release, and have never had a problem. Even being unexperienced at shooting semi-autos, and being left handed, I have always been asle to reach it, and push it with my index finger without a problem. And shooting competivly, speed is always an issue. Is this because I am left...

    Ruger P89 owners

I haven't had my p89 long enough for the trigger to improve, but it is very livable out of the box. Mine needed to be sighted in the first time I used it, I am not sure if that is normal or not. The only thing I didn't like about it was the grip. That was easily fixed with a Houge replacment...

Need Help with Baby Eagle/Jericho .45

I am not sure entirely about the baby eagle, but the desert eagle is very particular about the ammo it feeds. I know three people that own and regulary shoot them, and they only use fully jacketed ammo.

    CCW for lefty

I am going to be getting my ccw soon, and am wondering what a good choice would be for a lefty. I am looking at the H&K p7, but I don't know a lot about it. I have heard good things, but it has all been hearsay. I don't know anyone who ever owned one. Any input would be helpful, and any...
