Please Post Your Best Gun Photo

They're Speer Gold Dot 200 gr. +P. The 1911 is indeed a Springfield; a Loaded Champion in stainless.

Nope. That's the factory finish, circa 2004. :)

What is the last gun that you bought?

This, about one year ago. Remington 870P, police department trade-in. Manufactured in 1992 and refinished just prior to my acquisition.

These are a few of my better photographs; don't know that I could pick one over the others.

The 870 surface rust issue, is it *really* as bad as I've been reading?

Though not necessarily the best, but still an interesting comparison... I have a matte blue 870 Express that's about ten years old. Never had a single spec of rust on it, and I haven't been all that diligent about keeping the surface lubed. About five months ago, I bought a factory new...

    SA Loaded Champion

The slide serrations are the only area on mine with any significantly sharp edges. To a casual touch they weren't so bad, but they were rather annoying when used to cycle the slide. I lightly stoned those edges & corners and it made a noticeable improvement. The rest of the gun is fine...

what kind of grip on your Ruger SP101 ?

The grip includes a pin and stirrup which attach to the frame of the gun. The grip slides over the frame handle, and the screw attaches to the stirrup through the bottom of the grip. See here: http://www.getgrip.com/PDF%20files/Instruction%20PDF%20files/Rubber%20MonoGrip%202.pdf

    930 SPX Charging Handle

The "Nob" and Choate's handle are the only options aside from the factory handle at the moment. Mossberg has an oversize handle listed in their 2010 catalog, but it isn't available yet. I'd love to have one of MAX100's handles for mine. I hope he makes up another batch of them soon.

    S&W M&P15 MOE grip/rail/insert question

http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=93 The short rail (MCTAR-02) should be enough to mount most any forward grip you'd like, without an excess of rail sticking out. :)

    Pivot Pin Tool

I use a razor or X-Acto blade to retain the detent. Insert the spring and detent, depress with the blade, and slide in the pivot pin. The blade is thin enough that the pivot pin can be inserted into the receiver freely. As a precaution, and regardless of the method you use, you can assemble...

Anyone with recent Rock River order?

I ordered two LPKs (with standard grips & triggers) on March 23rd and received them on April 13th. I've heard/read that kits which include the two-stage trigger and/or a Hogue or Ergo grip are taking longer to ship than those with the standard parts.

    E-Z Pull Trigger Assist -- AR-15

About one week. I sent mine off on a Tuesday, and had it back in my hands on Tuesday of the following week.

    Which EOTech?

Well, as Yosemite**Sam said nightvision compatibility is the only functional difference between the basic 512 and 552 models. As such, the 512 is a good bit less expensive than the 552. So if you like the 552, but have no need for the nightvision capability, then the 512 would likely suit you...

    E-Z Pull Trigger Assist -- AR-15

Never used one, nor know of anyone that has, so obviously I can't offer anything as to how well it may or may not work. Though, at first glance it would seem to be an extraneous widget that may just get in the way or go wrong at the most inopportune moment. Since your inquiry deals...
