My 141 has a 4 digit serial number. I'm thinking it may be closer to 1937 than 1950. Anyone else out there still use one for deer hunting.

After 25 years of reasonably cautious reloading practices, I must say that the leverevolution ammo strikes me as a little hot. The 45-70 ammo has a warning not to use in the older rifles, but the .35 ammo has no warning. Does anyone know if it is considered safe in the old Remington 141's? Norm
