My stock has a plastic butt plate. How does that affect my choices?

I have found pads (R3) that are specifically labeled for synthetic stock 1100's. Do they make a decent recoil pad for a wood stock that can just be screwed on?

I inherited an 1100 and took it trap shooting the other day. I took the barrel off and cleaned it but did not take the trigger group out or the bolt. Is it necessary to do this every cleaning or just occasionally? Not really sure what or how to clean those parts and if it needs lube...

Does anyone know what the stock trigger pull weight is on the .45 version of the OSS?
