    Got a Ruger MKIII

Did it again, just for grins Took it apart and back together without a hitch. Minutes, not hours. I love this chunk of metal. Solid. I can only hope to be as great as the guy who only needed the manual... Found it sufficient, I believe it was.

    Got a Ruger MKIII

True, it's not that hard I think the force that is required was unsettling. I have strong hands and big forearms. I am often afraid of applying force to things for the chance I'm gonna break them. I kept asking myself, "can it really be this hard?" And then backing away. A little polishing of...

    Got a Ruger MKIII

Guess who kicked my butt for several hours during the disassemble/assembly. Yeah, I separated the barrel and grip frame. I won't do that again. I do have the satisfaction of having accomplished it on my own... With the help of several forums. I bookmarked those suckers!

    Python and Monson-made Dan

Python vs. Dan Wesson I have both, and there is a world of difference. The ______ has a much smoother action and lighter trigger. The _______ costs a LOT more. The ______ often has the ability to swap barrels. The _______ is more accurate in my hands. Looks are a personal preference thing, but...

    Ruger P-series stories and experiences

    Ruger .357 unfluted, got one?

Oooooh I want to hold one! I am a big fan of the caliber, and put an unfluted cylinder on it... Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Wondering if y'all can give me a little, or big, review. I'm seeing them on the selling websights, but no really good shooting reviews. I'm thinking of selling a rifle...

    Texas' new "Campus Carry" concerns.

I don't know... What is an ND? Agree, same as anywhere else.

    Why do people do this?

Physics I ain't no expert, but I can read. I just read that the mass of the object does play in the amount of force applied. Mass and speed. Heck, it's the same as a bullet... Big mass at high speed gives more force than small mass at high speed. Smaller mass at high speed delivers more force...

    Mauser 1910

Second time to the range since purchase. First time experienced some failure to fire with Aguila ammo. This time the Remington .25ACP - no failures. I am happy with my 100 year old gun!

First gun was the perfect gun

First gun The first pistol I ever bought was a Taurus Titanium Tracker in .357... Loved the "ribber" grips, but they were not enough to tame the snap of the magnum loads. Sold it. Yeah, well... Would like to have it back, somewhat.

    Mauser 1910

Ah, but I'm not SPRINGED! Tark, Dude, I guess I failed to mention I bought the ones from Numrich. I wonder how the goof is happening at Wolff, though. Hope they can get it straightened out. Somebody needs to do some research into what the 1910 really needs, I guess. Thanks for you input!

    Mauser 1910

Yeah, I think the right one When I spoke to the nice lady, she gave me the dimensions of the springs that should be in the "stock #69211, pistol service pack type one, for use in the Mauser 1910/1934, 6.35 mm (that's directly off of the package)" She gave me a .190 OD on the striker spring...

    Mauser 1910

Had a few light strikes or maybe hard primers when I shot My latest acquisition. Decided to get the service Pak from Wolff. They say it is for the 1910/1934 pistols. Well.... I think there were some changes from my model and the one they used to make the springs for. I mostly wanted the...

    Pawn shop lucky...

Research pointed me to Griffin and Howe, custom gun makers and now holders of the Von Lengerke and Detmold sales records from ~1900 to ~1929. I sent them an email and expect to hear back with sales numbers for the year of my gun, maybe a total number of how many Mauser Model 1910 were marked...

    Aguila ammo hard primers?

Took my 100-year-old Mauser model 1910 to the range today. Had to search for .25 acp, third place had some - Aguila brand. Had 6 light strikes out of a box of 50... Or were they hard primers? Anybody have trouble with that brand? I know Wolff has springs for the weapon, including the striker...
