    Stevens 200 safety?

Thank you both very much! No pictures are necessary but thanks for the offer IronLance! I wish Savage would actually advertise this feature on their website. I feel it would be to their marketing advantage since no other competitors at this price point have that same feature. Based on...

    Stevens 200 safety?

Hi, I have searched and read everything I could find about the budget hunting rifles. Stevens 200, Marlin XS series, Savage Edge, Mossberg ATR etc. Half of the time the articles are showing the Stevens 200 as having a two position safety but then sometimes I read that it has a three...

    New Magpul MOE handguards

Do these come with little rail sections or are those sold separately? All the pictures I see don't have rails on them.

Solid vs. fixed tele-stock for AR

I prefer fixed over Tele's myself. I like the ACE ARFX series.

    Winchester '94 AE, opinions requested

An Angle Eject is unlikely to hold value like a pre 64 or pre-tang safety. So just shoot it and enjoy it. Those 16" trappers are really really handy.

AZ: Stag Arms sightings in Tucson (or Phoenix?)

This guy is a great (and cheap) FFL in Tucson. http://www.barrettarms.com/ Just drop him a line and see if his FFL is on file with someone who sells Stag.

GUN CLEAN TIME, and RANGE PICS

I go for 3 levels of cleaning. Level 1: Heirloom/collector gun. Total detailed cleaning. 1+ hour per firearm. These are family hand me downs or have some other kind of collector value. Usually awesome blueing and wood i don't want to mess up. Rarely shoot them cause i'm lazy about the...

    Marlin for defense?

I can top off all of the lever actions that i have, no problem. Maybe there was some type of issue what that particular gun? Nema: The 45/70 is a fine round but if AK is still a possibility and not definate i would look toward something that would fit better in your current environment...

Three calibers for the rest of your days

I agree with belton-deer-hunter. .22 lr 30-30 12ga Those three are the minimum i would like to live out the rest of my days. I'd miss 357 but could do without..

    Situation while hiking.

another theory Is that this could have been a homeless person trying to scare you off. Twice i have been hiking in semi-wilderness areas near a suburb or town and have run into primitive campsites with bed-rolls and backpacks left for storage. Obviously the person who owned them had heard...

    Winchester 94 Trapper

My 2c. If you are planning on getting a .357 (start edit) revolver at some later date.(end edit) i would say definately get the trapper in the same caliber. It is very handy to grab one box of ammo for multiple guns. .357 can be loaded to a wide range of power. Light 38 specials all the way to...

    Which .22LR rifle to buy?

Looks like it might be a Marlin model 80 (i think?). My dad gave me an old J.C. Higgens from the 60's that is a Marlin mod 80 and it is a tack driver with iron sites. Probably can find one used for under a hundred.
