bds,
I only meant to be in the running for the 308 dies. I don't have a 260, so can you add those back to the pot?
Also, can you put me in for your 9mm and 45acp bullets?
Gents,
Just to be up front, whoever wins mine I'll try to get the wife to ship it as quick as possible. I have to make a short jump out of the country and will probably not be around when it closes.
Thats not really that bad for 243. It's a low volume round. I don't really come across them except around hunting season. Same for all of the normal hunting stuff: 270, 30-06, 7mm, etc. 308 is a different story. People love blasting it, so excess supply drives prices down.
bds, can you add me to dgod's die offerings?
I haven't contributed for a while, so I'll offer up 1 small flat rate box of once fired brass. Caliber of the winner's choosing from 9mm, 40, 45acp, or 223.
How is the seating consistency with the 124gr FMJ bullets you guys are loading. I can't seem to get mine as close as I'd like. The 115gr FMJ were super consistent (+/-.002), but the 124s run +/- .005 from my Lee dies. They still shoot great, just wondering if in need to get a custom seating...
Their prices aren't bad surprisingly. I've checked a lot of online places and they are crazy high. I used to sell brass on various Facebook pages, but it seems that since the election it's easier just to scrap it. Maybe I should start a website and go about it that way lol.
Be mindful that there are two different types of steps. There is a manufacturer (don't remember the name) that has a very small step. then there is MaxxTech, that has a much larger step. I load the ones with the small step for plinking ammo, but pitch the MaxxTech's.
The only gun I don't shoot is my great grandfather's Remington Model 12-C. It's from either 1919 or 1920 as best as I can figure from searching the web. My grandfather was the last person to shoot it, probably 30-40 years ago.
Huge thanks to dudedog for the bullets! Not only did he send the MBC 125gr 9mm bullets, he sent 4 additional kinds of 9mm, 2 different kinds of 380, 2 different kinds of 223, and some 45acp bullets!
With that generosity I've gotta PIF! Winner gets a small flat rate box full of once fired...
Please don't call the post commander regarding postal ops lol, he doesn't have time for that. I have shipped and received projectiles and brass numerous times. The post office is fine with this. Even standard ammo is not regulated by the installation. Firearms, yes, but they are illegal to...
Title 18 is pretty big, but I did a quick look through chapter 83 and found nothing pertaining to this scenario. The shipping in question is of projectiles only; no firearms, firearms parts, or hazardous materials.
Being in the military, I don't have the option to EDC... While off post I'm quite fond of my LCP and Kahr CW45. I just got an FNS9 that I really like, but need to get a holster.
