TSA has rules and if shown there's no stabby/cutty part their rules would pass the pliers. Problem is you have to get the awl and saw as well as any knife blades off. Better to just check the multi-tool and carry something made without a blade and not risk loosing any parts.

    Dehumidifier

Goldenrod and similar "dehumidifiers" are resistance heaters to keep the enclosure and contents above the temp moisture might condense on your items. A real safe dehumidifier has to pull moisture out of the space and trap or remove it. I've used silica gel bags for years, but you have to...

    Gun socks

I don't see how any knitted product with a drawstring can be "moisture-proff". To be moisture proof it would have to have a seal to keep air out.

    Bar and Chain oil

They need bar and chain oil as well. My electric uses it. BTW, the formulations are different with gun oils so I'd avoid using bar and chain oil except in an emergency, not as a cost saving.

Best 9mm revolver for EDC -or- just stay with my 357

An issue with 9mm revolvers called "bullet jump" has been identified where the cases allow the 9mm bullet to become dislodged enough from the case to interfere with cylinder rotation. This is reported only in lightweight 9mm revolvers.

Victorinox will produce a Swiss Army Knife without a knife blade. They will keep making SAKs, but will add knifeless models.

Interesting detail on Mora sheath - button hanger update

Yep, that tab on the front connects another sheath by fitting into the button hole(der) of the second sheath. I think we've had that here before, but I'd not seen this version of the button hole{der).

Interesting detail on Mora sheath - button hanger update

Instead of the traditional keyhole button hanger, this recent sheath has an easier way to attach the sheath to a shirt button.

    Gun socks

These are much better than "gun socks" in preventing rust and are safe for wood and leather. If you want socks to prevent minor dings, put them over the bags. If you're uncomfortable with "newfangled" modern products, just think of them as sock liners. :thumbup...

    Starling Shooting

As you saw, harassing and shooting them won't work. They have dealt with predators since as long as they've been a species. They'll wait in the trees until you step inside to pee, go to work/school/etc, or otherwise make themselves scarce while you are standing right there...and come in droves...

do you stop shooting before taking air travel?

No, and assuming you change clothes and take a shower before going on a trip no one would even be expected to know. BTW, the detectors aren't looking for powder or powder residue. You'd have to have a smear taken and put through a different machine and even then it differentiates between gun...

Bringing (importing?) firearms into the US from Canada

This doesn't appear to be an economics issue.
